Investors should not worry about AT&T's dividend payout capacity Posted: 08 Dec 2018 05:18 PM PST AT&T Did a little study on AT&T. Here it goes: if you think AT&T dividend yield of 6+% is a bit much, it actually is. However, its forecast for next year's dividend coverage appears more than enough to cover for its dividend payout, therefore, it's best to sit tight and enjoy the company's ever-growing payouts. https://www.gurufocus.com/news/782443/cant-sleep-because-of-your-att-investment [link] [comments]
Has anyone here made investments in companies relating to EDGE computing? Posted: 08 Dec 2018 11:13 AM PST I'm currently looking to buy stocks in company that are heavily involved in EDGE computing research and development. EDGE computing is the concept of bringing the cloud closer to consumers and will play a major role in the development of many IoT concepts. I am brand new to buying stocks so just wanted to get some insight or opinion from any experienced traders who invest in this sector. [link] [comments]
The Savannah Principle.. origin of WSB? Posted: 07 Dec 2018 10:19 PM PST https://www.psychologytoday.com/intl/blog/the-scientific-fundamentalist/201002/the-savanna-principle "Another example, discussed extensively in a previous post, is the fact that, when experimental psychologists deliberately create a situation where people earn money when they are ostracized and lose money when they are included, people still feel happy when they are included (and lose money) and hurt when they are excluded (and make money). While this makes no sense from a purely economic perspective, it is perfectly consistent with the Savanna Principle. Throughout the course of human evolution, exclusion from a group was always costly and inclusion was always beneficial. These two factors always covaried throughout evolutionary history, because there were no evil experimental psychologists in the ancestral environment to manipulate them independently. There were no such things as beneficial exclusion or costly inclusion, and the human brain cannot therefore comprehend them. It implicitly assumes that all inclusion is beneficial and all exclusion is costly." [link] [comments]

What the hell has been going on since September? Posted: 07 Dec 2018 11:26 PM PST I am relatively new to this game, what the hell has been up w the market lately? Looking at the NASDAQ chart and $SPY its just been up down up down to where it began in 2017. A clear pattern. What is up? Edit: it looks like what I would describe as a "pattern shift". The actual movement of the market changed. Like the path the chart followed. [link] [comments]
Study: the case for a medium term bounce, but why the long term risk:reward favors bears in 2019 Posted: 07 Dec 2018 11:24 PM PST The stock market's long term outlook is now uncertain. The macro economy is starting to deteriorate. The case for 1 last bounce. [link] [comments]
