    Risk Assessment Survey (Please Help!)

    Posted: 07 Dec 2018 02:35 PM PST

Hey /r/business! I'm currently in the process of acquiring a business and am working on funding the purchase. I have a seller, a plan, projections, and a great team. One of the funding options is through an investor network that I'm working with. In order to begin meeting with investors, I've put together this risk assessment survey to help identify what specific areas I need to be most prepared for when addressing potential investors. If you have a minute, would you mind going through the survey and filling it out? It should take about 15 minutes or so. Thanks in advance!

    Background information:

Business being purchased is a day treatment program for youth experiencing severe and persistent mental health issues

Business is currently cash flow positive

Please ask if you have any more questions that I need to clarify! I truly appreciate any feedback you can give.

    Questions about company vehicle

    Posted: 07 Dec 2018 11:01 AM PST

Hi all, apologies if this isn't the best sub for this. I know there's a business finance sub but it has hardly any members.

My holding company is incorporated in Utah. I purchased a vehicle this year under my name, but would like to transfer it to my holding company. Will I be able to deduct the cost of the vehicle as an expense?

If I'm unable to deduct the cost of the vehicle, am I able to deduct necessary repairs that I make before year end? I already deduct gas, but would like to maximize expenses if possible.

I am unable to get a meeting with my CPA until January and would appreciate the advice before then.

    Thanks in advance!
