Stuck between 2 Job Offers/Opportunities Posted: 04 Nov 2018 05:54 AM PST Job 1 : HCM/HR/Payroll BDR. Goal is to become an account executive as they work from home and drive to clients to present a solution. Large company so their is a SMB, mid market, and enterprise positions. More established company with multiple roles as well, but I drive 20-30 minutes every day to work. Add that with only paying 32.k Im not sure I want to stick out to what is probably 12 months of BDR before I can move to AE Job 2: I will say the company name. It is Fattmerchant. Only 4 years old, SaaS financial transaction processing AE position . It is 5 minutes from me, pays 45-50k plus OTE is 75k, inside sales. In not sure which of this two would be best. Yes job 2 obviously pays well but would I be shooting myself in the foot by not trying at the HR/Payroll sector ? Seems well respected to have on my resume [link] [comments] |

Seems like plan #2 is the better plan because: •SDR salaries will be less than full cycle sales salaries •we won't have to reduce territories and deal with any drama there I'm doing some research, but I'd also appreciate and voices of experience that care to chime in. Posted: 04 Nov 2018 09:16 AM PST hello, i am just looking for some advice. i have an interview for a cbd sales position tomorrow and i'm just trying to determine if it's as lucrative as i have been lead to believe it is. i had a phone interview and so far what i know is that it's only b2b sales and i'll be given leads so it won't be all cold calling, but it is also 100% uncapped commission. i do not live in a legal state, but the product contains 0% thc so it would be completely legal for me to sell. my first year earning potential could reach as high as 100k. is this as good an opportunity as i would like to believe or am i wasting my time? Posted: 03 Nov 2018 03:16 PM PDT How hard is starting out as a broker? Currently im in sales, i sell for a large HVAC company. I love sales but strongly dislike my ability to control my lead flow as well as advertising on my own (strict guidelines). I make good money, so i would start out with doing deals on side until my business grew. When i was young i started a construction business largely from word of mouth, ran it for 3 years. Had 5 employees but it totally burnt me out, now im doing sales but im realizing i really miss running my own business. Looking after the books, control of the complete sales cycle. I curious as to what your experience was like as a first year agent. As well as (if you have the experience) transitioning into running a full fledged brokerage and last but not least where do you see the industry going? For me the obvious benefits are: Personally i love to dress nicely but my current job just doesn't call for it. I could sell a product i truly stand behind Options down the road for starting a brokerage. Running my own business once again. Personally im very passionate about real estate investing, residential and commercial it's where i see myself going in the next 5-10 years and i feel like it would be a good fit IF i could get the momentum from the start. Not only have I exceeded my monthly goals but for the last 4 months I have brought in more revenue than all of my coworkers combine. I am the only one bringing in money to the business right now. I have been assisting in operations. Coming in on my days off. Working 55 hour weeks. (Which don't get me wrong OT pay is nice) all in an attempt to land this promotion. However, it seems like every single month. I am told to jump higher than the last. I am considering writing an email to my boss about this, not threatening to quit but expressing my frustration. It makes me so angry, I've been putting 100 percent into my job and I feel like they are just playing me. I wanted to grow with this company but if this is how they treat their employees I just don't know what my plan is now. The whole thing is extremely discouraging. Pay hasn't been set yet but by looking at reviews, base is around $48-54k. I've been a biologist and I never liked that career due to how competitive it is to get a 12.50/hr job! I do have sales experience with a lawn company and I could say that got me into the door. So my question is, is sales a pretty good career? Do you enjoy it? I'm a very competitive person and actively compete in races. I've also grown my lawn territory to 225% in 8 months. Really love sales, but if it's a crappy career I'll go back to school. Thanks! Demo for a pharma company, he is a chemist. 2 competitors already presented. From my understanding he doesn't know i'm going to be coming onsite. It is a great opportunity according to this sub, and a great foot in the door to potentially being a remote AE at this company 6 months to 1 year down the line. I have past AE experience, so I def took a temporary paycut as BDR at the company does not make much. AE positions here seem to start out at 60-80k with OTE well over 100k. They are outside reps however and must drive to their appointments, HOWEVER they do work remote so no need to go to an office. Right now I am a BDR though, so I drive to office everyday. Drive to work is 20-30 minutes here, and job duties is just 150 dials a day setting appointments for other AE's. Second company is Financial Transaction Processing. They are only 4 years old, but pay well. One of my old managers from a previous job recently became Director of Sales, and reached out to me via linkedin. Although it is Financial transaction processing, they market their company as a SaaS company.The company name is Fattmerchant, they pay 45-50k for the AEs, and a budy of mine that works their says OTE brings it to 75k. It is inside sales which I have done in the past, plus the office is about 5 minutes from my house. So basically company 1 is very large established, but I am doing grunt work right now with no real promise of being an AE although it def seems possible. Company 2 is closer to my house, pays more right away and is inside sales which I am used to. What do? [link] [comments] |
