Stocks that are Rising/Fallling And Why (9 Nov 2018) Posted: 09 Nov 2018 10:05 AM PST Each day I go through the top rising and falling stocks today, and look for (a) what the company actually does, and (b) why the stock is moving so much. Hopefully this saves you some digging! Below are my notes from 9 November 2018 as of mid-morning. (This list is limited to companies with market cap >$100 million, and also excludes VIX, short ETFs, etc, as these just reflect the market, rather than individual companies.)

In the News Today (Nov 9th 2018) Posted: 09 Nov 2018 02:09 PM PST Hi All, After speaking with the other mods I've decided to put together a list of tickers in the news and brief descriptions why. I am excluding earnings because /u/NaturalHedgehog does a great job of that. I plan to put this out daily, or when I can, and please provide feedback on how it can be useful for you. Right now I have a database of 13+ million news articles going back to the 1990s and I keep adding new news sources. I use an algorithm I built to help tag companies that goes further than tickers. The below is a list of tickers that have had a big increase in articles over the past 24 hours. I only kept major tickers today and today was a bit of a slower individual news day. How do we know index fund will increase in value over time. (Japan 1989-2000s) Posted: 09 Nov 2018 01:43 PM PST Why do people recommend index funds. If we had invested in Japan index funds 30 years ago we'd probably be in a loss right now [link] [comments]

Posted: 09 Nov 2018 06:17 AM PST Does anyone have any idea when GE would be a good buy? [link] [comments]
Posted: 09 Nov 2018 08:09 PM PST So, AKER just reversed 1:8. I picked up so that I had 8, therefore a whole share. Should I have let it ride at 7? Would that have been a savings to me if they were rounding? [link] [comments]
been wanting to start trading for a living for a while but I have a few questions Posted: 09 Nov 2018 08:06 PM PST these questions mostly deal with a potential crash in the next 2 years, how much money I need to start investing and to add on to that I'm 18 and live with my parents while doing part time so I'm not paying for living expenses besides car insurance and food just to help you guys out. anyway here's my questions - is it true that there is going to be a potential crash in the near future? If so would there be any way to capitalize on that like buying a bunch of low priced blue chip stocks like its a steam sale and waiting for them to go back up in value? - How much money do I actually need to start and where do I start Robinhood, ThinkOrSwim, or something else? - I been wanting to set up a TD Ameritrade account but I don't know if I can since I already have a bank account for a different bank. Why was holding company jefferies/leucadia stock still/off market severeal years? Posted: 09 Nov 2018 09:18 AM PST https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jefferies_Financial_Group https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/JEF?p=JEF&.tsrc=fin-srch Its a straight line from 2013 to 2018? Has anyone used WeBull level 1 paid quotes? Posted: 09 Nov 2018 08:46 AM PST I have a webull account (love it btw), but I don't pay extra for level one quotes. Does anyone have it and have any thoughts on it being worth paying for? It's only like 5 bucks but I'm not behind on prices or anything with thinkorswim, Yahoo finance, webull, and stocktwits keeping me updated [link] [comments]
Posted: 09 Nov 2018 06:43 AM PST The Target is LULU. Scheduled to enter LULU positions on Mon 11.12.2018 There are 3 PDFs below - please read and study in the sequence provided:
Strategy: Bullish Call Diagonal Back-Spread and is designed with very specific Objectives:
Here are the Summary Specific Expected Results for LULU - just remember this will be for each $3400 Margin for placing a (+3)(-1) Bullish Call Diagonal Back-Spread position: LULU is at $142.27 ----> Earnings Date is 12.05.2018 which is about 25 calendar days out. The LULU Options IV is HIGH at the 83%ile IV Ranking. LULU had two Price Gaps upside over the past few months - and recently at the current Pull-Back - LULU has closed Gap 1. There is a 2nd Gap at the $108.37 price level. After you read the detailed Briefings of the 3 PDFs - you should be able to SEE these 1st BINARY EVENT OUTCOMES expected:
-- OR --
If Outcome 2 happens and LULU moves down to $108.37 to $110 price zone ----> then we can re-establish a new (+3)(-1) per $3400 Margin spread again at the lower level AND DO SO WITH $0 out-of-pocket to your account! In addition the original long (+3) calls of the (+3)(-1) per $3400 Margin will still be open and "free". Then at the $108.37 to $110 Confluent Support Zone ----> LULU can really be expected to move back higher toward the $180 and $199 Target 1 & 2 levels. At this point - with the new (+3)(-1) spreads opened when LULU is at $110 ----> your $$$ returns will be very high. Remember - if LULU explodes higher after Earnings on 12.04 or 12.05.2018 ----> and LULU hits $199.47 Target 2 ----> on a $10k betting using a (+9)(-3) strategy - you stand to profit estimate at ($15K+). I hope you can appreciate the detailed PDF briefing reports - and see the powerful (+3x)(-1x) Bullish Call Diag Back-Spread Plan for LULU. The stock market literally makes no sense Posted: 09 Nov 2018 07:09 AM PST for example . take two is having insane sales for Red Dead Redemption 2, so what happens? The last 2 days the stock hemorrhages. It doesn't make any sense. Why would you sell stock for a company having that much success? [link] [comments]
Posted: 09 Nov 2018 05:20 AM PST /u/trilogy-09 is annoying and taking valuable space on this subreddit that should reserved for book and podcast posts. Please ban, thanks. [link] [comments] |
