    A Best Buy thought

    Posted: 24 Nov 2018 10:39 PM PST

If I were in charge of Best Buy this is how I would run it for more profit:

First, Best Buy should invest and focus more on their product demonstrations, like the magnolia, Microsoft, and Apple sections. This would mean less Apple, but a more attractive home environment furnished areas along with connected devices. I'd envision a gamer-environment section that looks like a game tournament hosting center where Shroud and DrDisRespect battle. Of course not that extreme right away, but subtle and almost an arcade like purpose that urges people of all ages to stop by brick and mortar for console and PC gaming. I guess end product is you got warehouse from Amazon storing the less-sales-items and adding diversity in the tech products promoted. This has companies paying absurdly to get their product advertising in-stores on display along with the cheaper quality brand-name items out in warehouses instead. All the while people get educated, entertained, and encouraged to buy more at Best Buy.

What would you want to see different at a Best Buy?

    Is there a calculation market?

    Posted: 24 Nov 2018 05:36 PM PST

TLDR Is there a market for spreadsheet purchases in certain markets that require tough calculations?

I'm considering making general and market specific excel sheets to help users and businesses.

I have it set up a "pay for time" using paypal and the spreadsheet locks after the time expires. I have sold a couple of spreadsheets. One for about 500, but it was to some family friends in the issuance business, and I didn't have a time limit on it. I believe there is a market for this but Ann unsure.

I'm wondering if you think this is a good idea. I have a strong background in spreadsheets and in math so capabilities are not an issue.

Any suggestions and feedback would be appreciated.

    Trademark guidelines for co branding

    Posted: 24 Nov 2018 04:20 PM PST

So I'm trying to market some portable software that is sold on a USB drive. If my bulk sourced USB drives say Samsung on one side, can I use them? An associate mentioned jam sales in Mason branded jars, as well as software sales on DVDs that may say Memorex somewhere in there, but I want to be assured I'm not running astray of trademark law. Thoughts?

Not sure if I'm in the right place but here it is

    Posted: 24 Nov 2018 03:58 PM PST

I had been been entertaining the idea of starting an online business ( a small one), I guess, as a result of doing some reflecting. I'm about finished with my technical degree, but after working in the industry for a little while, I realize that I don't care for it much. Especially where I'm at now. Working in a factory environment where safety really isn't as big a concern is kind of upsetting to me.

Anyway, I had never really considered myself much of an entrepreneur. I didn't even know what I wanted to do when I graduated high school. Most people were either joining the military or heading to a big state school that, realistically, I could not afford without student loans. So I've been trying to find a work force path that would work for me. So far it hasn't been very successful other than gaining experience to put on a resume. I did a 3.5 year stint in a restaurant by my house, and I've been working in technical environments like with maintenance crews in factories.

To sum it up, I guess I'm just lost right now. I mean, what would you do? I feel like I'm at a crossroads. I f I'm not in the right place to ask this, I'd appreciate any help. Thank you for reading.

    The Experience Economy

I'm stuck with my business, only way to grow is having money to invest but I cant get that money

    Posted: 24 Nov 2018 07:23 AM PST

As the title says, I'm stuck with my business (a bakery)

As I am today, I cant seem to make more money, the only way will be expanding and create a bakery in a place with more people so I can have more sales, but having another store in a good place is a huge increase in expenses, just to begin, I will need AT LEAST 3 more people (right now I have only 1), and hiring 4 people will be like 4-5k every month (including taxes and all that)

The place I am right now its a residential zone, I do good since I work with orders for birthdays, events, etc, and I have a school and kinder garden nearby. I got this place because the rent is really really cheap, and I didnt have that much money to start with, so this was perfect.

So, I know the product is good, people like it a lot, but, as I said, I'm stuck, I need to sell in a place with tons of people passing by, but I cant make it to even save, so I really dont know what to do...

    Any ideas?

pd: sorry for my english ><
