New investor P/E question please! Posted: 07 Jul 2018 05:59 PM PDT I just started investing I am having trouble seeing how the price- earnings ratio is calculated. I have been trying to calculate the p/e of TD for quarter ended January 31, 2018. It says the SP close on Jan 31, 2018 was 74.82 and the EPS is 1.24 yet, 74.82/1.24 does not equal the 13.8 it has for the price-earnings ratio? https://www.td.com/document/PDF/investor/2018/2018-Q1_Report_to_Shareholders_F_EN.pdf Thanks! Scared shitless buying options on margin. Anyone have any safety tips? Please no trolling Posted: 07 Jul 2018 07:29 PM PDT EDIT: Made a mistake. Robinhood does not allow buying options with margin. Ignore post! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 07 Jul 2018 05:55 AM PDT I'm 18, live in Australia and I'm interested in getting into day trading. I've done a bit of research but have only found videos or information relating to day trading with US stocks, and some involving the 'Robinhood' app. This app isn't available in Australia and also is it true that day trading on the ASX would be a lot harder than US markets? I'm just not sure on how to approach trading as a beginner. [link] [comments] |
