Someone is printing my trade marked logo Posted: 27 Jun 2018 04:37 PM PDT I have a mediocrely well known band and we have merch that we've been selling from our website. The other day I was walking through china town in my city and I saw them selling shirts with our logo. Alarm bells went off and I immediately went to search for it in other places like eBay. Found a couple on there as well. Sales had steadily declined in the last while and I'm not sure if this is the reason; but it certainly feels like it could be. We are independent still, but the logo HAS been trademarked. What is the best way to combat this issue? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 27 Jun 2018 01:40 PM PDT I am graduating in May 2019 from Texas A&M University with a degree in University Studies Business and have no idea what I want to do with it. I thought going in I would know what I wanted to do but now that I have began searching for jobs I'm not exactly what career path to choose. I was looking for some help on entry level job titles that anyone may know about for me to look into. [link] [comments] |

What is it about fashion brands that make owners so rich? Posted: 27 Jun 2018 05:39 AM PDT I was looking down at the top billionaire list and I noticed that there are high representation of fashion brand owners proportionally (maybe only below tech sector) among the world's richest. (LVMH, Zara, Gucci, etc.) Is there something special about fashion industries that let the owners make more money compared to other industries? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 27 Jun 2018 04:41 PM PDT I'm curious to see if anyone knows if there is a term (or one who can provide some clarity) for this "robbing Peter to pay Paul" scenario. Back story: I work for a small marketing agency. Unfortunately no one here has an MBA, just Art degrees (...yep, Art). There's nothing wrong with having an Art degree but if you own a business at least have some training--I digress. More importantly, I have heard the owner tell me that "it was a good thing (I) spent so little time on a huge project they billed" because they were able to use "the extra money they made" towards another large project (not mine) that was severely over budget. What is this called? Is this ethical? Does everyone do this? If so, do you keep track of every dollar in the green versus the projects in the red? Thanks! [link] [comments] |
