    iQiyi earnings up 57%

    For those who don't mind a bit of China risk iQiyi (IQ), China's most popular video platform, reported remarkable growth with revenue up 57% at $777 million for the first quarter with strong growth across the board. Guidance for Q2 was for revenues to hit a record range between $924 million to $963.1 million. The company also announced a partnership with Chinese online retail juggernaut JD.com to link membership programs, allowing paying users of one platform's membership program to enjoy the perks of the other's premium features. With rapid growth and the stock valued at just over 3 times Q2 annualised revenues it looks very cheap.

    Here's the key difference between Amazon and Alphabet right now

    • There's a big difference in the growth opportunities for Alphabet and Amazon, according to Macquarie analyst Ben Schachter.
    • Every new Alphabet business is going to be lower margin than its ads business, while every new Amazon business is going to have higher margins than retail.
    • Alphabet's stock has dipped after it beat first-quarter earnings expectations while Amazon's has spiked.

    Opions on KMPH (KemPharm) stock?

    The guy running the show at KemPharm is a well-known chemist who used to be the head of Shire. His specialty is prodrugs and he has an incredibly successful one under his belt: He was the inventor of Vyvanse.

    His new company has a Hydrocodone product called Adapaz. As opioid regulations tighten, it seems like an abuse-resistant product will increase in demand.
