Posted: 05 Feb 2018 04:27 PM PST I've been working at a start up for 3 years, starting as an account coordinator, now Senior Business Analyst. Maybe about 1 year ago, I talked to one of my bosses saying I wanted to leave, mostly due to the hours, ranging from 50 -70+/week. They convinced me to stay: we'll hire more people, clean up the process, etc. And they did hire more, I am currently paid 50k, and some processes have been fixed. But our client list and client expectations continue to grow. Going into work makes me miserable and has put a physical toll on me - I am out of shape and have a large bald spot from my trichotillomania (hair pulling from stress) So I was thinking about just pulling the trigger and sending in a letter of rec. I have a contract allowing me to vest into a certain percentage of shares, so I might try to discreetly do that first, depending on price of shares. He's my draft: Hi NAME, I am writing to inform you that I would like to formally put in my two+ weeks notice at COMPANY. Working at COMPANY has been a wonderful experience, but due to personal and health reasons, I would like to resign. I am happy to take as much time is necessary for my transition out, and can even continue to manage A PARTICULAR MARKETING CHANNEL remotely for an extended time period at no pay. Thank you so much for all the opportunities you have presented me, and for everything you taught me. It has truly been a life changing experience working here, and I will miss everyone greatly. Sincerely, ME [link] [comments] |
Need help thinking of a name to start a business Posted: 05 Feb 2018 07:04 PM PST Not sure if this is the right place but does anyone have any good ideas for a business names. It's going to be an event gathering place that people can rent out. So, for example people can rent it out for weddings, parties, meetings etc... Also going to have different days that it's not rented out to be designated to different themes. So during football season there is going to be Red Zone Sundays and we are gonna have a bunch of TV's and people can eat and drink and bet on games. I'm going to ask the high school if they would like to have their dances their along with their after prom event. (they usually travel to a different town rent out the bowling alley and do a casino night with bowling and give out a bunch of prizes. I think on some days I'm going to have coffee hour. Graduation parties, baby showers, bachelor and bachelorette parties etc... My mom and I are having a really tough time figuring out a name so if anyone has any ideas for it that would be greatly appreciated. Also if you have any ideas for themed days or different things I could do with the building I would love to hear it! Thanks! [link] [comments] |
