What are some good emerging market ETFs? E.G. India, Vietnam, Nigeria. Posted: 30 Jan 2018 08:57 AM PST Mark Mobius (Franklin Templeton) suggests to put a third into Vietnam. What are some good Vietnam ETFs? Or other emerging markets like Nigeria / Kenya / Indonesia / Malaysia / India? [link] [comments] |
What are you buying on this dip? Posted: 30 Jan 2018 09:57 AM PST Seems like a good time to buy some stocks before they bounce back. [link] [comments] |
How do you all feel about stocks related to marijuana companies? Posted: 30 Jan 2018 04:53 AM PST How do you all feel about stocks related to marijuana companies? I've heard I shouldnt invest in the companies themselves but rather in the companies that produce growing tech and apparatuses and chemicals, like miraclegro. I imagine there will be a boom in the need for these hints in the next decade or sooner. [link] [comments] |
What do people think of WMT Walmart? Posted: 30 Jan 2018 08:47 AM PST Low prices will always attract customers, whether it's a boom or a recession. They have good delivery networks. They are investing heavily into online sales. Offline sales still comprise of a huge majority of sales in general. Walmart expanding more so in the international markets. Any downsides to buying this stock now at around $108? [link] [comments] |
Everybody, RELAX about the markets dropping today. It's all State of the Union jitters. Posted: 30 Jan 2018 11:24 AM PST Nobody knows what Trump is going to say, so all the big players are taking their profits now. Unless he says the US is going to nuke someone, we'll be back to green in a day or two. This is standard market behavior, the Bull-Market we've been in has made us all soft!! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 30 Jan 2018 10:35 AM PST Pretty decent earnings from McDonald's as they continue to try reform their branding/image. Never really see many people talking about McDonald's in this sub although I'm not currently invested I think there are medium term gains to be made (1-3 years), what did you guys make of the earnings and McDondalds as a potential investment? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Jan 2018 06:27 PM PST Curious at people's thoughts tech stocks with potential growth, falls, and ones you think are overvalued and undervalued. Especially this close to a lot of their earnings reports. [link] [comments] |
What caused the 300 pt drop this morning Posted: 30 Jan 2018 10:24 AM PST |
WEAT (2.40%) and VIX (5.25%) going up when the intire maket is going down. Why? Posted: 30 Jan 2018 12:15 PM PST What make these ETFs go the opposite direction of the market when even gold is loosing price? [link] [comments] |
How much more do you think DOW, NASDAQ and S&P 500 will dip? Posted: 30 Jan 2018 10:33 AM PST Do you guys think this dip will continue even further tomorrow? In my opinion, the news Amazon released about cheaper health care is driving down DOW quite heavily and tomorrow we will probably see DOW, NASDAQ and the S&P 500 remain stable (+-0.15%) [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Jan 2018 06:29 PM PST I recently owned stock in a company that got a buy out offer by another, pending shareholder approval, and it got me thinking... Let's say Gordon Gekko slowly acquires shares of a given public company until he owns over 50% of the shares. If Mr. Gekko wanted to take the company private and really felt like an A-hole, what's to prevent himself from voting with all his shares to buy out all other minority shareholders for zero dollars? What mechanisms are in place to prevent this sort of thing? None of the other shareholders could muster the votes against it, since Mr. Gekko owns over 50% of the company. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 30 Jan 2018 01:07 PM PST I am willing to watch my portfolio value drop to zero as long as I see a long term play. Just wondering what everyone is thinking for a long term large growth play. (e.g.buying cheap now and waiting til 2020 or longer to see major upside.) [link] [comments] |
Posted: 30 Jan 2018 12:56 PM PST I have this CTP AU in my portfolio. I don't recall buying it but it says I have zero shares and I'm negative a few hundred bucks. How do I get rid of it? My Ameritrade account will not let me trade it. [link] [comments] |

What will happen this year in the markets? Posted: 30 Jan 2018 11:34 AM PST I am thinking that the market is nearing a top due to the high number of individuals that are getting into stocks. Every time this happens, historically, we get corrections. Personally, I am looking for a 10% correction sometime by next year. What do you guys think? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 30 Jan 2018 11:30 AM PST I was thinking about it, wondering about companies that usually loose values after a certain kind of momentum or news. The ideal would be research to find companies failing strategies, finding before the market notice and before the news talk about. Basicly meaning pearciving that a company may loose money or using a short term gain strategy that usually leads to long term losses because of greedy and so. I don't think SHOP has any of the description above but its revenue is very low with a lot of investors putting money in it. So I wonder if during a economical recession its shares will be among the ones that will rapidly fall and deeper that shares from companies with more cash. [link] [comments] |
Can the 10-YR get to 3% by March? Posted: 30 Jan 2018 05:30 AM PST

Posted: 30 Jan 2018 11:09 AM PST Earnings release is around the corner and stock has been dipping for the past few days. What do ya'll think? Buy, hold, sell? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 30 Jan 2018 07:20 AM PST It's getting schlonged today on earnings. I know this is an American staple with a great dividend and also exposure to marijuana. However, I've yet to do DD on it because it s been way to expensive. What happened today? I understand they missed expectations, but was there other news that was bad? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 30 Jan 2018 11:05 AM PST Is this company worth holding onto? There seems to be a lot of unanswered questions and general uneasiness, however I think there is still a potential upside to holding. Does anyone have any thoughts? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 30 Jan 2018 10:56 AM PST I have 10 shares in at $1635, with no dividend and other opportunities (FANG) would you dump it for more AMZN, SQ, GOOG, or HD? [link] [comments] |

Someone please explain this graph? Posted: 30 Jan 2018 10:34 AM PST It says the High was 3.89 but on the graph the highest I see is around 3.06. Whats going on here? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 30 Jan 2018 10:32 AM PST I suspect a lot of people will want to jump in after the speech wanting to get into infrastructure stocks ahead of the plan. I think we know better though that any run up in the stock immediately following the speech will be temporary.. [link] [comments] |
