You'd NEVER Want To Work For Us. I'm A Young CEO.

    Posted: 04 Jan 2018 09:58 PM PST

You know, I think those currently in charge in the business world would hate to relinquish "power" to someone younger than them, especially much younger.

As a CEO, with hands on experience as an employee, I noticed a unique correlation between owning a business, and working for a business. Maybe you have noticed it too. The more control, power and "freedom" given to an employee, the more care and success they had in their job. That said, an employee will never care about the business like an owner does.

Because of this, I take a different approach to how we run our shop. It's almost opposite from any of the CEOs I've learned from, where power, control and flexibility are opportunities earned after years and years of hard work, value add and experience.

Having to be backwards and different, I look for diversity, and building out a diverse team when we hire. It's a very important criteria in our hiring decision making process. Once a new employee proves their value, I push our managers to give them more power, more control and more flexibility in defining their job role and goals.

Am I crazy, or would you actually want to be a part of our team?

I am having a really hard time deciding on a major, and honestly I have no idea what business management would do for me. I want to go into business, I'm just not sure what the best field would be.
