What’s happening to Nvidia right now?

    Posted: 04 Dec 2017 12:46 PM PST

I'm not sure I understand why Nvidia is crashing so hard, the only factor going against them right now seem to be increased costs of memory components. Estimates within the last month were saying it was going to hit $250 soon. Any thoughts?

Is Take-Two Interactive (TTWO) a buy at its current price?

    Posted: 04 Dec 2017 09:21 AM PST

It's down 8% today, hovering around $100 a share. It's been around $120 for the last month. And this stock has been climbing for the last 5 or 6 years. I remember owning a lot of it back when it was 12 bucks a share.

Wolverine World Wide is getting sued (local news reporting it)

Local news around here is covering this quite a bit but I don't think news has gotten out of the west Michigan area. Figured I would share it. They got caught illegal dumping and the result is tainted water.

Thoughts on Global Blockchain Technologies Corp?

    Posted: 04 Dec 2017 02:48 PM PST

Interesting company here. Looks like they invest in Crypto Currencies as well as ICOs.

Looks a lot like an ETF for crypto's. Worth keeping an eye on I think.

Best Long Term Cannabis Stock Play Based on New Tax Bill Spreading Cannabis Legalization Amongst East Coast coastal States

    Posted: 04 Dec 2017 07:33 PM PST

With the new Trump tax plan eliminating state/local tax deductions/exemptions & capping property taxes deductions at $10k, a lot of East Coast coastal states will need new funds to make up for budget shortfalls and/or to increase their budgets in the future as these politicians can expect significant backlash from taxpayers/voters if they attempt to generate such funds/revenues by increasing state/local/property taxes. Most legalized some form of gambling already during the Great Recession (e.g. NY, PA, etc.), so these states won't be able to draw from the gambling well twice; therefore, the expansion and legalization of recreational/medical cannabis will be the easiest available option as opposed to raising taxes. This may finally force the federal government to step in and implement a consistent regulatory framework that allows for interstate trade. Murphy won the governorship in N.J. so it's def coming to NJ within the next year. What's the best stock for a long term play in this arena?

These are my 5 stocks to watch this week. What's yours?

    Posted: 03 Dec 2017 11:01 PM PST

So this is a weekly series I do on another sub and it has tons of positive feedback so I don't mind sharing it here as well for you guys to take a look at and share some of your thoughts. Here's the video for a visual on my technical analysis as well as 6 bonus stocks im watching this week (there's a lot happening this week!) https://youtu.be/h3ltOQm2KY0

    1) tencent - had great earnings, kept going up, but since the tech sector in general sold off, this also got hit (even though it's not really all tech). Key point is that it's coming down to a good level to test the uptrend support and would be a signal for me to add more shares.

    2) visa - lots of action last week here. Tons of volume came in, we saw it move to the uptrend support and dipped below that, but has since come back and is hovering around that level. However there was some news released this weekend that one of the execs got fired, so let's see how the market reacts. I think it won't matter and we will go higher this week if the Qs continue up.

    3) Mastercard - similar price action to V, but no fundamental changes that I saw. Good opportunity to pick up a position on uptrend support.

    4) Take two interactive - a gaming stock, so not really tech, but it sold off as the rest of tech sold off last week. What time particularly like was that it came down to fill the gap it created after earnings, and it held its uptrend support. Should see a rally especially since we're entering the holiday season which is typically the best for gaming stocks (people love to buy games for themselves or as presents for Christmas).

    5) Facebook - this got hit harder than other techs last week and had a big red day on Wednesday. They being said, it held its uptrend support and is hovering around there as well, along with tons of other tech stocks. Solid fundamentals here, so I don't see why this isn't a good pick even for a long term hold.

So that's it - I have 6 more picks that I cover in the video but these are the 5 biggest ones I'm watching (and I have a position in all 5). Let's see how this week plays out and let's see tech make a recovery!

Thoughts CVS in the near future? Do you guys think the Aetna purchase will eventually drive the stock up?

    Posted: 04 Dec 2017 07:08 PM PST

Its down around 4% today. I researched the Aetna purchase and there seem to be negative consequences with this vertical merger. 1) CVS will go into debt. 2) the debt will ruin its dividends for investors. 3) People are skeptic this merger will even happen due to a few government agencies and how the Trump administration has been dealing with these kinda of acquisitions.

Still am considering buying if it goes down more this week. Would hold onto it long term and track how this may turn out.

    Starting out in general.

    Posted: 04 Dec 2017 09:08 AM PST

A lot of people join the stock market community everyday and not many are informed on anything or where to even start the research. I wanted to hear from as many voices as possible to get informed on the topic, so if anyone has any advice as to where to start or how to start then that would be much appriciated.

Also I believe that this could help save people from answering the same questions over and over again if this gets the right kinds of answers.

Eaton Corp ($ETN) trades on both the NYSE and the Frankfurt Exchange (as $3EC). I can’t find anything in its 10k, website, or google regarding its stock in Germany. Is this an EDR?

Been outta finance for the last 2.5 years since graduating and passing my series 65 (long story). Gotta write a short form equity research report to include in my resume and have gaps in my memory that I'm needing to fill in. Very frustrated with it and would love a little help on this! Thanks in advance
