Any advice on getting a product demo of a website made?

    Posted: 04 Aug 2021 09:46 AM PDT

I'm looking to make a product demo both to try and push signups as well as for applications to accelerators. Do you guys have any recommendations on how to go about making it? Would a screen recording with a voiceover suffice, or is it worth paying someone? And if I should pay someone, does anyone have experience with using freelance work platforms?

Advice Commission Structure Fundraise tech Company

    Posted: 04 Aug 2021 07:15 AM PDT

    Hello everyone,

I'd like to ask for your advice on how to structure a commission schedule for a $100M+ fundraise for novel health technology company.

    1. How would you structure the commission schedule for a $100M fundraise?
    2. What would a typical commission fee schedule for an investment bank?

    Thanks

Moving from Adobe XD prototype to MVP…

    Posted: 04 Aug 2021 03:55 PM PDT

Hello, I have a question for those with experience in app development (or moving something forward from a prototype / side project to MVP) - if you are nontechnical how do you estimate the tech/budget needed to move from an Adobe XD prototype (around 40-50 screens) to an MVP?

Finding a cofounder makes sense and I would like to explore that avenue at some point although I would prefer to be a little further along first, and I would also prefer to understand what's needed (tech/budget) to move to MVP. Principally because, depending on what's required/budget, that would determine whether it makes more sense to find a cofounder with a marketing/partnerships expertise rather than a pure tech cofounder. Additionally, I think it's more compelling to negotiate once its more than something you work on in your spare time.

Has anyone managed to traverse this themselves (if so how?) or in cases such as this is it essential to have a technical cofounder first?

About me: my education/career is a mixture of creative (illustration, recently UX design, etc) and strategy (macro strategist and economist at investment firms). I am vaguely proficient in a few simple programming languages although not enough to speculate on moving to MVP.

How to do a P&L estimation for an App?

    Posted: 04 Aug 2021 05:51 AM PDT

I have the fixed cost variables, such as development, acquisition cost, etc. but then what confuses me is how to estimate the incremental sales.

For example, if I launch a food app in a 1 M USD market size that has a few players with varying revenues.

The app will be launch in stages, from pre-alpha to live releases in a span of a year. How would I estimate/simulate the monthly profit within a year?

Sorry, I know I'm oversimplifying things, but I'm hoping this is enough to trigger a discussion.
