Posted: 29 Sep 2020 08:43 PM PDT Just wanted to put up here that this is not a wonder product that will make a billion dollars it's first year. I came up with a decent idea for a business (not drop shipping lol) and was looking to start acting on it. The problem is that I can't really file for an LLC, as I'm not 18, and my parents do not have the time (they leave at around 7:30 AM and get back at around 8:30 PM, and at that point, they're super busy). As for startup costs, I've done my best to calculate my monthly expenses to get a picture of what it is like, and it's pretty low. Taking out about a fifth of my savings, I can sustain my business for sixth months. Wondering what to do next. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks [link] [comments] |

Business student, what can I do to get my foot in the door? Posted: 29 Sep 2020 12:17 PM PDT I am currently a third year business student. Classes so far are easy for me and I have a lot of free time on my hand. I'm looking to get real experience and get into the business world. I was thinking of starting as a Real Estate Agent but was told that the investment was too high and it wasn't something I could do with 25-30 hours in a week. What do you guys recommend I can start to build my portfolio and enter the business world. I have 25-30 hours in a week and less than 5K saved up. Im in Canada which is similar to the States in terms of business. [link] [comments] |

Good reading materials/videos for new business school students? Posted: 29 Sep 2020 01:19 PM PDT I got my BS in communications several years ago and I'm now planning a return to school, seeking an associates in business administration. Aside from a couple of 100 level business courses during undergrad and some pertinent work experience, this will all be relatively new to me. I'm looking for suggestions of any good books or other reading material covering business/economics or possibly any videos/talks that would be worth checking out as I start this new journey.
