Massive Market Manipulation & Fraud Happening Currently in DGAZF +3,000% Posted: 12 Aug 2020 09:23 AM PDT So someone at a close friends firm is caught up in DGAZF short, with all the remaining shares owned by what we understand to be Credit Suisse, the issuer. With market makers unable to create shares due to its delisting. after pricing broke down and the exchange-traded note closed with a 645% premium to net asset value yesterday, and it traded as much as 3,900% above NAV because market makers lack the ability to create new shares to meet demand. Edit For the dweebs in here that are saying this isn't outright broken, it just got halted because obviously this shit is fucked up this is a U3 Halt - Halt – Extraordinary Events Trading is halted because NASD has determined that an extraordinary event has occurred or is ongoing that has had a material effect on the market for the OTC Equity Security or has caused or has the potential to cause major disruption to the marketplace and/or significant uncertainty in the settlement and clearance process. looking at DGAZ's PHDC1 function (ownership) on my BB terminal, they had 431K shrs, 140% of float. So pretty much all shares and the short shares. Edit 5:20 PM CS TO ACCELERATE VELOCITYSHARES 3X INVERSE NATURAL GAS ETNS This is getting brought back to NAV it looks like. I guess this might actually be Wallstreet bets worthy because if they do bring it back these shorts will make a profit instead of losing everything. Wow lol Obviously there are risks involved with shorting but many were under the impression that these are supposed to track indices, and is a hugely flawed. Credit suisse, who has a recent history of and has been sued and fined for not stopping blatant market manipulation from happening. except this is way worse than anything that has happened in the past. So now people are stuck short, unable to buy shares to cover because CS has the remaining shares from what we know. (totally aware of the situation) as the price now rockets above $15,000. SO this post is meant to serve a few purposes, one as a cautionary tale of how horribly wrong some of these complicated leveraged ETN's can be. The second reason I am sharing this is to help draw in media attention to force CS to unwind this ridiculous situation that seems to be maybe be MM or just outright negligent. I was able to reach out to Zero Hedge and he did a quick piece, witch helps a lot but if we can get more attention that would be great. So if you know anyone writers or journalists and can help spread the word, that would be a big help. and upvote so others can learn to stay the fuck away from CS and these types of financial instruments. This is 2020 in a nutshell, lets bring light to this predatory/ negligent company. After close it looks like they are going to accelerate it and bring it back to NAV, and possibly looks like those short might end up making money off of this...WOW [link] [comments] |
Posted: 12 Aug 2020 08:21 AM PDT From S&P 500 index, adjusted for dividends. "Days" = trading days. Are these intervals cherry-picked? Absolutely. Just wanted to reiterate how insane this year has been. I'm an algo-trader and it's been tough to train automated systems for a literally hundred-year event. [link] [comments] |
Depression-like collapse is sparking a wartime-type boom, market bull Jim Paulsen predicts Posted: 12 Aug 2020 07:29 PM PDT How the historic economic downturn may be setting up stocks for an epic boom: $5 Trillion sitting in Money Markets waiting to jump into stocks, and companies have become ultra efficient due to Pandemic induced cost saving measures, and Wall street has not accounted for that yet. Did HCAC fail to acquire a company? Posted: 12 Aug 2020 07:45 PM PDT Got this alert from E-Trade. Other than HCAC has to pay back the money it was supposed to spend on buying a company, I have no clue what this can mean?.. "Page 1 of 2 Re: Hennessy Capital Acquisition Corp IV Cusip: 42589C104 Please call the ETRADE Corp Actions Team 1-800-ETRADE1 Monday-Friday 8 am-6 pm Est. by cut off 08/21/2020 to submit your instruction. *You are encouraged to check the market price for this security before redeeming. Stockholder meeting date: August 27, 2020. The company has set July 28, 2020 as the record date for voting for the meeting. Holders must follow the voting instruction in the proxy. The approximate price per share redeeming holders will receive for their common stock is $10.28 per share which is disclosed in the proxy statement. Posted: 12 Aug 2020 04:43 PM PDT I know MJ stocks are far from welcomed here. But you guys should at least take a look at MSO's, known as multi state operators. There are many of them but 4 stand out from the pack. Curaleaf turns out not only tech is making money out of Covid, weed is covid proof as well. Just take a look at the lastest earnings from Cura, Trulieve and Green thumb industries (released yesterday and today) theses companies are killing it, low P/E ratio compared to anything else that is popular on here, they are cash flow positive, increasing margins and expanding. Add to that the safe banking act and upcomming election.. The least you should do is to add theses 4 companies to your watch list. Take care [link] [comments] |
Should I sell before the Apple stock split? Posted: 12 Aug 2020 07:40 PM PDT I see mixed outcomes to the stock split. Should I sell my Apple stock before the stock split to avoid the reorganization fee? Not sure if this applies or not. Looking for insight. Very small position. [link] [comments] |
What ETFs to invest in for a balanced portfolio? Posted: 12 Aug 2020 08:45 AM PDT Since the pandemic shutdown, things were slow at work so I started trading individual stocks a lot. Made a decent return, nothing extravagant that I should rave about or anything. The issue is that I enjoy taking a ton of time to learn everything about a company I invest in. Spend way too much time online researching and watching analysts on tv. While that may be considered a good thing by some, with my job ramping back up, I don't have as much time to do that anymore. I would like to switch over a decent chunk of my portfolio to ETFs so I can be in more of a "set it and forget it" mode. Should I just diversify among all the funds offered by companies like Vanguard, Invesco, or ARK? Or are there specific funds from different institutions that I should be looking at to form the portfolio? My risk tolerance is moderate to high, as this is not my savings or retirement account. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 12 Aug 2020 04:55 PM PDT 24% held by insiders, 82% held by institutions, 15% operating margin, 24 revenue per share, 2.83 diluted EPS, very little debt, good cash flow... Why so much short interest? They've consistently risen for 5 years. It was especially shocking yesterday when I saw the 24% short, is there something I'm not seeing? [link] [comments] |

DCT Showing the Right Signals for a Strong IPO Posted: 12 Aug 2020 04:38 PM PDT Earlier this week I posted a detailed account of the strategy I used to make a nice little win on the NCNO IPO and banked a substantial win on BIGC's IPO. I received a lot of questions asking what I looked for in an ideal IPO setup, and thoughts on a few of the IPOs coming up this week. First off, I'm not an expert on any of this, just sharing what has worked for me. I certainly don't recommend trying my strategies on every IPO; I am specifically hunting for IPOs that soar out the gate, and have given detailed instructions on how to buy in at the optimal entry point (right when the stock starts trading), and recommend setting stop losses to mitigate losses in case the stock doesn't run up as anticipated. That being said, I certainly am on the look out for indicators that signal a high demand for the stock, as well as media coverage to further increase awareness of the stocks IPO (ideally positive). Well, DCT is certainly lining up in the right formation for me to take another all-in play, starting with favorable coverage by SeekingAlpha and TechCrunch, followed up by the announcement 8 hours ago that they are raising the IPO price range from $19-21 to $23-25 per share. An IPO price at $25 or above and a pre-debut price above $50 would all be very reassuring. If it follows this trend, as expected, I'll be tracking the pre-debut price before the stock starts trading on Friday, raising my limit orders to $2 above the Ask price as it moves prior to the debut to buy shares right at the debut price. I will probably look to take profits at the end of the day unless I get stopped out early (which would mean this stock didn't boom as much as I anticipate). I expect this to follow NCNO's footprint more than LMND or BIGC and not have much of a second day pop, but have not tracked enough of these to feel very confident in my ability to forecast that, but also just to avoid holding through the weekend. Best of luck to those who will also be making this play. Interested to hear how it works out for you all. (note: do your own research, make your own decisions, this isn't financial advice, I plan to take a position in this stock when it starts trading, yada yada yada) [link] [comments] |

Posted: 12 Aug 2020 03:32 PM PDT Say I go into the market with a decent level of aggression, what kind of money can I realistically make? I've been taking notes on "the intelligent investor" by Ben Graham, and I'm curious what initial thoughts people have on my strategy. Would a 75/25% stock/bond split serve me well? Should I look to diversify with indexes right off the bat or will it serve me well to put in the time and invest in a collection of common stocks? Anyone have success stories of good portfolio policy or investment strategy? Lmk! [link] [comments] |

Helpful Stocks that surround BitCoin but aren't actual Bitcoin. Watchlist: 8/12 End of Day Selloff, Vaccine Order Posted: 12 Aug 2020 03:52 AM PDT Market Notes: Yesterday after a big gap up stocks chopped around near the day's highs until the end of the day. In the final hour markets sold off going from being green to red. We've seen some of these end of day sell-off earlier this year, be ready for more in the days and weeks ahead. Markets are pointing towards a higher open this morning after the federal government announced it's bought 100 million vaccine doses of Moderna (MRNA). It had already bought 100 million doses from Pfizer (PFE). Russia is putting a lightly tested vaccine into the population. Many skeptics on this because there is no data available to prove it's effectiveness. Watchlist: STIM is a low float, resistance at $5 AMTX is a low float, watching for a setup above $3 OPTT is a low float, resistance at $1.28 LQDT is a lowish float, support at $7 CDMO has resistance at $8 YRCW watching for a setup above $4.20 PEIX is an earnings winner, on watch RYAM has resistance at $3.63 LAC watching for a setup above $7.65 VRAY has resistance at $3.60 [link] [comments] |

Why was my purchase price higher than my buy limit order? Posted: 12 Aug 2020 10:56 AM PDT I filled VGT shares for a limit of $302.99, but the purchase price is $307.29 on Fidelity. I've also encountered other times of short selling where my purchase price was much lower than my limit price. From my understanding, Fidelity doesn't charge trade fees, so why is it that sometimes my fill is where the limit is set to, while others is a whole percent higher/lower? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 12 Aug 2020 10:42 AM PDT Cruise lines have been hit hard by COVID and haven't rlly rebounded much yet. They seem liek they have allot of potential. Analysts say that it will rebound to its normal stock price by 2022 and as long as they don't go bankrupt that could be a possible double or triple profit!!!! [link] [comments] |
