I am trying to find the crazy bastard that found GNUS, did the DD and has me currently up 1000% on my position.

2 or 3 weeks ago someone posted either here or r/investing after looking through 7000 companies and found GNUS, a penny stock of a company that makes children's cartoons. I would just like to thank him for getting me in at $0.35 and follow his every move.

Watchlist: 6/2 Riots & The Bull Rally Continue

    Posted: 02 Jun 2020 04:17 AM PDT

    Market Notes:

Yesterday was another green day and futures are pointing towards another positive open. Unrest and looting continue around the nation. Markets appear poised to continue the march of the bulls.

Worth noting that the VIX climbed yesterday too. Typically a higher VIX favors the bears.

On another note, Bitcoin surged overnight and is now holding above $10,000. Key resistance is at $10,500, I'll buy if it can break this level.

    Watchlist:

RWLK is a low float, resistance at $1.80

WRTC is a low float, law enforcement play, resistance at $8.30

PRTS is a lowish float, watching for a setup above $8

NLS is a lowish float, watching for a continuation above $7.35

    GNUS has resistance at $2.80

VRML watching for a setup above $4.50

    TRIL has resistance at $8

AMRS was the big winner yesterday, I'm only interested above $6

MEIP watching for a setup above $4.20

    DVAX has resistance at $8

    AGEN has resistance at $4.42

Macy's NYC Flagship store gets looted last night, stock surges over 9% in trade

    Posted: 02 Jun 2020 06:48 PM PDT

Now, I'm no professional trader, but this seems odd. The looting of Macy's in New York City made national headlines, yet it surged over 10% at times in day trading. What is this? Up from free advertising? Does the stock surge since the appearance of it getting looted makes it look like they sell good products? Target shares soared last week after widespread looting in Minneapolis, and Nordstrom surged today, they got looted yesterday as well.

Amazon to subsidize child, adult care for workers as coronavirus recovery takes shape

    Posted: 02 Jun 2020 02:16 PM PDT

    https://finance.yahoo.com/news/amazon-to-offer-subsidized-child-and-senior-care-with-carecom-160045124.html

Amazon (AMZN) will start offering emergency childcare and adult care as a new benefit this summer for employees across its corporate offices, warehouses, and Whole Foods Market stores, Yahoo Finance has learned.

With many companies gearing up for the gradual relaxation of coronavirus lockdowns, Amazon — whose worker policies have been under extreme scrutiny during the outbreak — is helping employees offset the loss of schooling and care options.

From June 2 until October 2, the tech giant is expected to substantially subsidize up to 10 days, or 100 hours, of backup childcare and senior care for its more than 650,000 U.S. workers. That adds up to a total of 65 million hours across the company, Amazon said in an internal memo.

How to find stocks to analyse?

    Posted: 02 Jun 2020 08:48 AM PDT

I'm struggling to determine what stocks I should actually be analysing, it seems people find stocks really early and ride their bullish trends and I hear about the stock when everyone's already made profits and jumped ship?! Anyone know how or where to hear about stock news and shit?

Theories as to why there was so much buying volume at close?

    Posted: 02 Jun 2020 06:35 PM PDT

Most stocks were heavily bought today during the 30 minutes prior to market close. Was there any good news to explain this last run up? Who is buying when the market is so overvalued? And why? I know no one really knows, but I'd like to hear your thoughts.

    GeNiUS finds.. How?

    Posted: 02 Jun 2020 06:27 PM PDT

    Hi,

I see people on Reddit claiming about finding DKNG, SHOP or the new kid in town GNUS on reddit!

I don't find these threads until these stocks jump on a rocket and are on a different planet!

How do you people find it at the early stage? Like subreddits or any other place? I would love to hear tips on where to find these info and be an early bird! Maybe this helps some other folks like me!

    Thanks.

    Posted: 02 Jun 2020 09:31 AM PDT

As a day trader, are you supposed to pay quarterly or will my trading platform send me tax form at the end of the year? Does it depend on how much you make? I don't want to log $5,000+ in unpaid taxes and then have to pay a penalty...

New to the stock market question

    Posted: 02 Jun 2020 03:52 PM PDT

So I don't have a whole lot of money to play with right now with the given situation. But I have about a 100 I can just throw around in the market as of today (more coming), my question in your opinion what is a new/cheap stock that I can get a decent amount of shares in for that money. Something that in your eyes should kick back up after everything evens back out after this pandemic. All opinions welcomed, thank you all in advance!

Irrational Stock Market Rally (DOW Jones near 26,000 points)

    Posted: 02 Jun 2020 06:35 PM PDT

I can't explain why else we are rallying so much other than people are forgetting about coronavirus due to George Floyd dying. It's like all of western society has forgotten about Coronavirus since the media aren't covering it anymore, which has influenced how we are acting. Can't help but think a giant pullback is in order when covid cases spike in a couple weeks.

What's the best way to get into the stock market?

I'm very new to the stock market and I was wondering if there were and books or other online material that I could use too get started. I don't intend to become a millionaire off of the stock market but I think it's a pretty interesting thing to build your money in — considering it is done right.

    Any recommendations? Thanks!

    Holding TUES long term stupid?

    Posted: 02 Jun 2020 05:01 PM PDT

I got into TUES at 0.31 after seeing so much talk about it. To which the next few days it has dropped to 0.21. Am I stupid to keep holding it? I'm already down over $1,000 but want to recover. What are your thoughts?

I know DKNG is up like 100% this month, but I believe it will be a 100$ stock by January. It's the biggest betting website and, as sports start up, the stock will rise. Is there anything I'm missing? I'm thinking about going VERY big into this stock. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

So many are asking why the market rising with all the bad news in the US?

    Posted: 02 Jun 2020 02:30 PM PDT

So many are asking why the market rising with all the bad news in the US?

Because everyone is selling due to Covid and Riots, and people still hold more stocks to sell so as retail investors sell stocks to marketmakers, the marketmakers will have to raise the bidxask so they can sell the them back and make a profit. Marketmakers are no longer only people, they are also series of highspeed trading supercomputers. Some very small caps and pinksheets dont have such a setup so you see occasional trading and large bid ask spread. Marketmakers are essential part of the market to create liquidity and narrow the bidxask spread. They take a lot of risk and they are given extra opportunity to make money by having the ability to design the bidxask.

How do we push the market up higher?

Continuous barrage of bad news is a necessary portion for this cycle to continue, its like the fuel for the market, so the key is to continue to feed bad news into the markets but the likes of CNBC, FBN and CNN, so they can keep bringing in the bears. Stocks will continue to go up.

By Nov 3rd you should see a slow down in stock sales, which means S&P will probably stop somewhere near $375~$400.

So how do you explain the drop from Feb to March 23rd?

There were many buyers with the small dip and as the market dropped further, the buyers bought even more turning into a cascade of drops. Eventually the market had to drop so far down that many gave up and sold what they had bought in early March, all the way through MArch 23. By Marsh 23rd the number of sellers increased and the talks to Dow hitting 15000 really helped bring in a lot of Bears to start reverse the cycle back to uptrend.

READOUT CATALYST TOMORROW: Can Replimune Infect Cancer? Key P2 Data Readout Tomorrow AM

    Posted: 02 Jun 2020 02:15 PM PDT

Summary: Replimune (NASDAQ: REPL) is developing a next-generation oncolytic immunotherapy platform. Their lead candidate, RP1, is an engineered herpes simplex virus designed to both selectively infect and destroy tumor cells and maximize a patient's own immune response to the tumor cells. The latter function could potentially turn "on" tumors that the immune system was previously ignoring. REPL will be providing a data update from the P2 portion of their ongoing P1/2 trial for RP1 + Opdivo tomorrow pre-market (8 AM EST). The update will consist of readouts for the melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer cohorts. We are excited about this readout given the positive P1 data previously reported in November 2019 and the substantial market opportunity for RP1 in their lead indications. We believe REPL has the potential to go on a significant run over the next 12-months driven by multiple near-term clinical milestones.

    Key Takeaways

    • REPL has extensive oncolytic development experience: The team was previously at BioVex, which led the development of the first FDA-approved oncolytic therapy (Imlygic) and was purchased by Amgen for $1B in 2011 ($425M upfront). While Imlygic has not lived up to commercial expectations, we are excited about the preliminary data we have seen for RP1 and the combination regimen and biomarker-driven approach REPL is taking.
    • Positive P1 data provides proof of concept for RP1: REPL reported positive P1 data last November for RP1 alone and in combination with Opdivo. In the monotherapy arm, tumor destruction was observed following RP1 administration, indicating RP1's independent antitumor activity. REPL also reported that 3/4 patients with PD-1-refractory cutaneous melanoma were respondents, suggesting RP1 may benefit patients who fail to respond to current best therapies. Moreover, 4/5 cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (CSCC) patients responded to the RP1 + Opdivo combination, supporting the efficacy of the combination regimen. Interestingly, RP1 administration was associated with increased PD-L1 and CD8 T cells in the tumor tissue: this suggests RP1 successfully enhanced T cell tumor penetration and could potentially turn tumors "on" for checkpoint inhibitor therapies (like Opdivo), leading to synergistic efficacy. These combinations with checkpoint inhibitors hold a lot of mutual promise, as borne out by the support BMS and REGN are providing furnished REPL for the combination studies with Opdivo and Libtayo, respectively.
    • Multiple near-term readouts in 2020 expected: An update for the RP1 + Opdivo melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer cohorts is scheduled for tomorrow, while data in the bladder cancer and MSI-H cohorts is expected 4Q20. We also expect updates for the potentially registrational P2 RP1 + Libtayo in CSCC in 2021.
    • We foresee substantial upside for REPL over the next year (25 - 100%), and are setting our target price at $27, representing 35% upside over our entry price of $20***:*** We are excited about the data released to date and anticipate further positive news tomorrow, which we believe will set REPL up for further growth over the next 12 months. We have seen reported peak sales forecasts for RP1 in the range of $1.7B. We believe that would be an optimistic forecast, with our back-of-the-envelope analysis indicating peak sales potential in the $1.1B range. There is substantial growth potential at the current price (market cap of ~$730M). Our rapid analysis of REPL is supported by other analyst coverage, with 12-month consensus price targets in the mid-20s to low-30's range, representing meaningful upside over the current ~$20 price. We believe that positive data tomorrow has the potential to drive the price to the ~$27 range.

Additional value in RP2 and RP3, highly engineered follow-on assets: While early stage, we are excited to see REPL continue to innovate and arm their oncolytic therapy candidates with further functionality designed to enhance immune response to targeted tumor cells.
