Posted: 01 Jun 2020 10:49 PM PDT If in a one party consent state (US), do you always disclose? If not, when not? With internal colleagues? With external parties (e.g. clients, sales prospects, potential hires, etc)? Do you ever participate on calls and feel like (but not sure) you're being recorded? How do you feel about recording / not recording calls? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 01 Jun 2020 06:28 PM PDT Hi everyone, So I'm about to register my new founder business with Companies House in the UK. I'm planning on registering as a Private Limited Company. My question is this: at which point do I need to start paying any tax on my earnings? Is there a limit I need to hit before I need to pay taxes on my earnings? I.e. if my business only makes one hundred pounds for the whole year. Do I need to pay tax on it? Due to it being such a low amount? [link] [comments] |
Delema: Should i follow Principle or opertunity? Posted: 01 Jun 2020 05:12 PM PDT So I have an interview with Amazon for a delivery driver position, which has pay of 18/h-25/h which is about 2.5 times what I make currently. However my dilemma is even if I get the job, I already pulled the stunt to get the schedule change I wanted and told them after they agreed that I would stay so I feel obligated to stay at least 2 more months. I already applied and got the interview when I had considered quitting so it is just hard. Basically better pay only work 4 days a week, and get benefits but look like an asshole and have a really awkward last week or 2 or stay principles and work more days making less money with no benifits. Posted: 01 Jun 2020 04:11 PM PDT Most of the month was dominated by panic about Coronavirus at Walmart; but the last few days were donated by the protests over George Floyd, which caused the closure of far more stores than the virus. And the pandemic hasn't slowed down regular shootings that keep coming every month with at least 11 last month with 3 fatal; there were at least another 4 deaths as well, 2 from the virus, 1 more murder, and another 1 for unknown causes, but it probably not considered suspicious. https://zacherydtaylor.blogspot.com/2020/06/walmart-crime-report-may-2020.html Walmart has much higher crime problems than any other store, but every thing is reported as an isolated incident at the local level, with the media rarely ever trying to put it into perspective. This month in addition to many of the usual crimes, including arson, stabbings, crashes, hit and runs, assaults etc. there have been more brawls caused by the pandemic and more COVIDiots coughing or spitting on people and telling them they have the virus; along with people spraying disinfectants or other hazardous items, on products including food. How do you hire the right freelancers from sites like Upwork, Freelancer.. Posted: 01 Jun 2020 09:29 PM PDT here's my experience so far with freelancing websites: I hire a freelancer, yay.. Both parties are excited to work on the project, Somewhere in the middle we would had some challenges/disagreements, Freelancer gets a little demotivated to work further, They get invited to more interesting/profitable project, Shiny object syndrome (or simply a squirrel)— and they're gone. Not answering emails, not picking up phone, ignoring Skype etc. Basically, I'm doomed. I don't know if the problem with me or the nature of the job is like that, I try to be as nice and understanding as I can but it seems it's not working.. is there anyone that has similar experiences? and how I can do it right? Can CEO of start-ups pay themselves a dividend whenever they want? Posted: 01 Jun 2020 03:02 PM PDT Let's say a CEO of a successful startup is running low in his personal finance and needs some money to pay for his rent and buy a new car. Is he allowed to withdraw cash from the business into his personal account in order to do this? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Jun 2020 01:50 PM PDT Good day everyone. I would like to ask for book suggestions for 1) how to find the perfect location to open/ launch your business. 2) how to determine if you have the right target market for your location. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Jun 2020 03:27 PM PDT So, let me start by saying the small business owners I work with are old. Like really old. And have absolutely no idea how to work a computer properly. Part of my job (that is mostly volunteer) is to help them with any tech issues they run across. Usually, it's simple stuff like how to get facebook back up and entering orders, so I don't usually come across any problems. Until I came across their atrocious filing system. We work in the lawnmower industry, so part of the gig is filing away sold lawnmowers and along with the name, phone number, and address of the customer who bought it. We also need to keep track of any repairs customers make for future reference. It is all done on paper. All of it. And not easy to find, it's an absolute mess of files. Finding a customer record from five years ago can take twenty minutes. So, I'm asking all you small business owners, what kind of program do you use for this? I was researching CRM, but it is much too advanced (and really not needed) for what they need. Really, I need a basic contact thing that I can add notes too as repairs and sales come up. Any suggestions? [link] [comments] |
