| Credit Card Company peculiarities Posted: 23 May 2020 10:38 AM PDT Hi guys, I am just starting analyzing Synchrony Financial (SYF). Having never analyzed a credit card company before, I would like to ask those of you who have what are some peculiarities to be aware of. Do you approach valuation with a regular DCF? What are some important, non-obvious things on the financial statements to pay attention to? The company seems to be deeply undervalued given its growth prospects, trading at just 4 PE, so there must br some pitfalls (other than the threat of increased charge-offs due to Coronavirus).
