Believe it or not, couches don’t have the lumbar support of an office chair
Since we’re all showing off, my retired grandfather was nice enough to let me borrow his office while we all quarantine.

[CAN] Just got terminated from KPMG

I'm a senior auditor and just got fired. Basically partner called me on skype, said they were terminating me and sent me a letter to my personal email account and the next thing you know I got locked out of my work computer WFH. They didn't even give me reason either. Would I still be able to collect EI? They just described it as a termination.

Can confirm with insider knowledge, layoffs are hitting KPMG Canada offices in several locations including Vancouver, Calgary, and Toronto.

Currently lay-offs are hitting poor performers first (people that have been held back before).

Don't trust your firm. Everyone below partner is expendable and at risk of a lay-off. If you notice your superiors being a little extra nice read the writing on the wall and prepare accordingly.
