Posted: 02 Feb 2020 01:47 PM PST Any ideas for "corona virus panic" stocks, specifically stocks that provide basic sanitary for consumers (not industries), things like face masks ? For example APT (Alpha Pro Tech, Ltd.), the stock gone up by 91% already (missed the rally). Some say Indian fertilizer companies will benefit from the virus as china is it largest competitor and many of the chemical factories in china are in the quarantined areas [link] [comments] |

5G Equipment providers Nokia, Ericsson & Huawei Posted: 02 Feb 2020 12:18 PM PST Hello everyone, UK and EU, Two of the biggest markets for 5G rollout, released their recommendations/decision on who can provide 5G equipment. France seems to be going with Ericsson. UK is allowing Huawei up to 35% of the peripheral equipment(Radio Masts, etc). EU on other hand has recommended limiting, but not banning Huawei. Member nations governments will have the final word. As for USA, I could be wrong(and please feel free to share your thoughts on this), It seems to me, Trump administration will use Huawei as bargaining chip in phase 2 of the trade talks. Are you guys holding or thinking about investing in 5G sector stocks? Which stocks are on your radar? What's your opinion on Ericsson and Nokia after UK and EU announcements? Sell or Continue to hold? Keep buying the dips? Sources:
https://www.bbc.com/news/technology-51283059 Huawei allowed to account for 35% of the kit in a network's periphery, which includes radio masts.
https://www.nytimes.com/2020/01/29/world/europe/eu-huawei-5g.html The European Union told its members that they should limit so-called high-risk 5G vendors, e.g. Huawei, but stopped short of recommending a ban on the firm The recommendations are as far as the European Union can go in dictating policy to its member nations, whose governments will have the final word on whether and how they want to let Huawei help build their next generation of wireless telecommunications networks.

Posted: 02 Feb 2020 10:43 AM PST $TSLA is ripping. When are you (rich) Elon fanboys going to sell? It might go to $1000 but usually when things go parabolic it's time to start booking profit (DotCom anyone?) I argue that booking something soon is wise if you haven't already. What are your plans? Hold for life or book something soon? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 02 Feb 2020 08:18 AM PST How much profit do you guys think google made this year comparing to last year? We noticed how Facebook beat the earnings but the expense made it go south, now have you guys noticed any significant money google has spend that could hurt their ER? [link] [comments] |
Dow Jones, Nasdaq 100, DAX 30 Forecasts for the Week Ahead Posted: 02 Feb 2020 04:18 AM PST Dow Jones, Nasdaq 100, DAX 30, Outlooks:
Dow Jones ForecastOutlook: BearishThe Dow Jones retreated final week as airways and companies shuttered actions in China following the outbreak of coronavirus which has contaminated greater than 10,000 individuals and claimed greater than 200 lives. Whereas well being officers are nonetheless making an attempt to discern the actual hazard posed by the virus, economists have begun to forecast harm to the Chinese language – and subsequently international - economic system. Thoughts on Google’s earnings report this Monday? Posted: 02 Feb 2020 02:37 PM PST I'm not sure if I should bet on their report. I know some people who made a killing off of Amazon's Q4 report and I'm inclined on doing the same with Googles. [link] [comments] |
Recommend me an MSCI world etf in EUR (acc) Posted: 02 Feb 2020 01:52 PM PST The only companies I know is ishares and spdr. I see ishares has a lot higher annual fee but still is the biggest as fund size. Why do people go for ishares even tho it is more expensive? Which one should I pick and why? Is the Fund domicile important in case of accumulating ETFs? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 02 Feb 2020 01:17 PM PST I am checking 10X Genomics stock. I have noticed that they have a lockup date https://www.briefing.com/calendars/ipo-lockups

Posted: 02 Feb 2020 07:29 AM PST I've held a dividend portfolio for about two years now that i'm ready to liquidate and throw into growth stocks. Instead of investing say 30% in Visa, 30% in apple is it more or less prudent to do 15/15 Visa/Mastercard, 15/15 Apple/microsoft, 15/15 Paypal/Square etc, or is the overlap nonsensical? $SNAP vs $UBER - Two stocks that get roasted usually are now performing well. What would you choose? Posted: 01 Feb 2020 08:35 PM PST Not interested in your talking me out of it. Interested what you would choose. EDIT: Their ERs are coming up and i wanna play [link] [comments] |
Posted: 02 Feb 2020 01:32 PM PST I bought DFEN—the triple leveraged Defense ETF—a few weeks ago amid the US/Iran tensions and it made some gains (until Friday's 5% loss). How do people think it will fair next week with the Coronavirus news? Should I sell before Monday open? [link] [comments] |

Which industry stocks other than medicine/gold will not fall during the coronavirus? Posted: 02 Feb 2020 09:03 AM PST The coronavirus seems to affect almost all industries, but exactly what industries would be negatively affected by the coronavirus? [link] [comments] |
How does buying and selling stocks actually work? Posted: 02 Feb 2020 11:54 AM PST Based on my current understanding (which is wrong) you can execute a market order or limit order. If market orders automatically buy at the next available value, what's stopping someone from selling at a price way higher than most trades and someone getting screwed who did a market order? I know this is wrong and I'm dumb, I just don't understand it and need someone to explain. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 02 Feb 2020 07:47 AM PST I'm currently paper trading and just curious about what others think here. If you purchase shares in a stock and it drops significantly in a gap, let's say 5% with a potential to drop some more. Do you sell and cut your losses, or do you decide to hold the asset long term and just continue trading with the rest of your assets? [link] [comments] |
