I want to start my own makeup business.

    Posted: 06 Feb 2020 12:11 PM PST

Hi there! I'm about to graduate high school and I've been researching how to start a makeup brand for about 6 months now on and off. I have prices down, design, I'll copyright my brand, how to get it off its feet, where to buy my materials. I also plan to make social media and use my friends as models for it to get recognized :) If anyone has any tips or pointers I would love to hear them!

    Huge partnership opportunity

    Posted: 06 Feb 2020 06:28 PM PST

Hi!I am 23 years old, owner of 2 plant nurseries we produce half of our products and stock the other half from fellow colleagues that do the same.

Yesterday i had a call from the biggest reseller in my country (something like amazon), they want a partnership with me. They want to expand by creating a new tab for plants in their online shop.I will sell my products from their name as a contractor. I checked if there are any other contractors like me working with them. There is one and he is a slow-poke - prices throught the roof, and you can only buy 5 in bulk. On my online selling platform i have 330 made sells and no one bought anything more than twice in one order.

Their offer is integrate me into the website (helps with the marketing, because they are huge where i live and their name will sell my products and increase overall sales), and when i make a sell at the end of every month will declare 20% of the sales from their website to them. I will negotiate about the percentage because it s too high 15% would be perfect.

My only demans is not to be connected with them in anyway and the sales will be only with their name. It will keep the intergrity of my business. This way i could contant all other local manufactureres and make them sell for me.

I had no other experience such kind of a contract. I think that as long it boosts my overall sales it's a go and i would only benefit. What do you guys think?

TLDR: Manufacturer contacted by a huger reseller for a new brand in their website (basically dropshipping my items). Opinions?

    Business Administration Job?

    Posted: 06 Feb 2020 01:14 PM PST

Currently attending community college for Business Admin. I am 18 years old and am looking for a job and was wondering if there was a company you guys would suggest to try to get into. I have previously worked at Little Caesars as a team member and at Best Buy as inventory/merchandising. Any suggestions or perhaps another subreddit to ask

My problem is it needs money and support to start, and i am still learning and can't pay for the whole business yet. How coronavirus is affecting the global economy

    Posted: 06 Feb 2020 08:19 AM PST

First shot at working as a consultant independently as my own business. Can anyone recommend a good course I can take for stating a business that is Ontario or at least Canadian centric?

    Posted: 06 Feb 2020 07:54 AM PST

I'm very new to this and need to understand basics like what type of business, liability, how to manage money and taxes (besides having an account), and all of the basics. It's a simple service business as their are almost no expenses. Apart from mileage.

I'm not looking for an long program, but something that will help me cover my basses and but. As someone with a learning disability Taxes and doing them right is my number one concern.

    Third-party advertisers

    Posted: 06 Feb 2020 07:47 AM PST

Hello! I have a question regarding third-party advertisers.

I've been doing graphic design freelance for a while, usually finding clients through referrals. I decided to test the local market so I boosted a post on my Facebook page yesterday.

Today, an agent from one of the biggest platforms for connecting producers with consumers in my country (similar to Craigslist for North America) contacted me and offered to advertise my services to clients. We've decided to meet tomorrow to discuss this.

I've never done anything like this, so I have no clue what to expect from the meeting, but this sounds awfully similar to one of those situations where agencies tie down creatives with tight contracts.

Have any of you had similar experiences, and what should I be asking about at the meeting? Especially regarding contracts, like, what should I be looking out for?

I do have a lawyer who could look at the contract of course, but I wanted to be as informed as possible before the actual talk.

    Thank you in advance!

Can't get people to my sites. Help please!

    Posted: 06 Feb 2020 06:55 AM PST

    Hi!

I'm currently needing help with getting traffic to my sites. I own an eCommerce store where I sell gardening products and also on the side I have some art sites. The thing is, that unless I go for paid ads I can't seem to get people to the sites, let alone the right people that might actually buy something or hire me.

I've tried to work the SEO, I've tried posting it to multiple social networks. I'm not really good at engaging in communities and building relationships there, but I do try and get no results.

Is there any way that I can drive people to my sites and start getting traffic that might end up turning into sales or jobs?

Any help will be really appreciated since I'm stuck and can't think of ways to get past this

How Much Does It Cost To Open A Sushi Restaurant (equipment)?

    Posted: 06 Feb 2020 08:20 AM PST

    Hello everyone!

I am looking into the feasibility of opening a concept sushi restaurant in London (approx 40 sq metres).

Can anyone advise on how much equipment for such a venture would cost e.g big rice cooker, sushi roller machine, fridge and any other equipment needed? We would only be serving sushi, no other dishes.

If anyone can provide insight on which brands are best to buy, what else is needed and how much the all-in equipment cost would be really appreciated.

    Thank you,

    Max
