Hey, do you know any good YouTube finance channels?

My go-to is Graham Stephan, but he does not really talk about stocks. More about saving etc.

    Thanks, cheers!

Edit: Thanks for the plentiful and descriptive responses! Have a great day!

The "Corona Virus" is not going to be the next plague, just like mad cow disease, bird flu, SARS etc were supposed to be. This is media fear mongering at its finest. When there is new "news" to report on, the virus will be forgotten about, just like the Amazon wildfires.

Edit: I see you've all bought into the fear mongering. Quick! Sell all your shares, the markets gonna crash and everyone's gonna die! Idiots

What is going on with SPCE?

    Posted: 27 Jan 2020 05:56 AM PST

I realize that volatility is a given in this market, and especially for an IPO so new still, but dropping $7 over the weekend is jarring. I bought this stock to see if I could get an early-in on a potentially lucrative investment. Am I just freaking out? Is patience the name of the game?

Long term traders, do you use stop orders?

    Posted: 27 Jan 2020 12:25 PM PST

Got wiped out this morning at my $30 per trade stops. One was a trailing stop so I was able to keep some profits, but all of the rest sold. Is it better to get stopped out or stay in the market on days like this?

Stocks that may profit of the Coronavirus

    Posted: 27 Jan 2020 10:46 AM PST

I've bought some INO and CODX lately. Paying off well! Both positioned well to make money off the virus situation.

INO was given a $9M grant (roughly) to help develop a cure. They specialize in this strain and have worked on SARS and the middle eastern respiratory disease in 2013 if im not mistaken

CODX working on a device to screen for whether someone has contacted it.

Has anyone else done any DD on these stocks or know any others that are set to profit?

Should I hold my MSFT option?

    Posted: 27 Jan 2020 12:02 PM PST

    I'm holding a $3.80 2/7 straddle for MSFT at $166.75 strike price - I'm down 6.3% today.

I know that earnings is coming up, and it looks promising for MSFT, but I also know that, like most stocks right now, MSFT is over evaluation and there's fear for readjustment.

    Should I hold?

I'm at a crossroads because on Friday, I made mistake and wasn't able to sell off my SPCE profits in time and took a massive hit, so now I'm down even more for the month. It was my original plan to buy MSFT (was holding individual shares at a profit), but I was attempting to get in on SPCE for a little boost, but couldn't sell in time.

I just got back into the market, of course the selloffs and drama hits now.

What is suggested? How do you feel about MSFT?

    GSX Techedu up 10% today

    Posted: 27 Jan 2020 11:23 AM PST

I got this stock from Seeking Alpha. It's basically an emerging online school in China. It was hit by the initial coronavirus news, but it's back up to when it was booming.

I think it would be worth your time seeing that online school profits will likely go up if this thing continues.

If i buy DEAC, is that like buying draft kings? Or will draft kings have its own ticker after they merge?

    LK stock?

    Posted: 27 Jan 2020 09:45 AM PST

Is anyone here looking to pick up some LK after the sharp declines? If so what price point are you trying to get in at? I think I'd be comfortable buying in anywhere under 30.

I also see that market watch says there is around 60% shirt floated. Does this mean the stock will tank going into Friday if it keeps going down ?

I know very little about stocks and cannot believe this is possible. What has confused him so i can stop him wasting actual money. Apologises if this is the wrong place.

Just got into the market last week after I decided to invest. What to do now with this dip.

    Posted: 27 Jan 2020 01:29 PM PST

I just got my portfolio started last week after saving for some time. I really must have the worst luck. I invested around 10k last week, which was obviously a mistake. Should I put the remainder of my money (aside from my emergency fund) in now to help my average buy in cost or wait it out. If I would have just waited to get in literally 5 days I would not have taken such a big hit. I was told by everyone time in the market is better than timing the market so I got in ASAP. I am aware nobody knows whats going to happen but I would just like to get some opinions on what you guys would do. Thanks everyone.

I have AAPL, SPY, VTI, WM, MSFT that is in order from my largest investment to smallest.
