What's this about? MarketWatch shows losses on the 5D . The dunkin donuts and the Subway launches are not getting good reaction on the floor? Someone smarter than me will explain this so well that it'll make me look like a fool.

    Thoughts on Cloudflare?

    Posted: 23 Oct 2019 06:46 PM PDT

The stock is fairly cheap, IMO. That being said, an earnings miss could push this into single digits as far as the share price is concerned. I think anything sub-$14 is a buy and a long term hold. In the short term, you could take a risk and hope that an earnings beat pushes this towards a new ATH. I'm specifically looking for $12 or lower before taking a position.

    Stock trading project

    Posted: 23 Oct 2019 01:36 PM PDT

me and some fellow classmates are doing a project with fake money on investing and selling stocks. We are doing it with the real fall and rise of actual stocks. What are the best ones to invest in to make a lot of money? Any good strategies?

    Explain earnings to me?

    Posted: 23 Oct 2019 01:28 PM PDT

So with earnings what's the deal?

Is the earnings the dividend you'll receive if you own the stock?

What if it's negative? You just lose money?

Also, what is the actual call vs the report?

For example, MSFT earnings call isn't until 5:30pm EST today....but their earnings report is already in.

All of its kind of confusing and I don't know the answer to any of these questions but have been curious

    Guggenheim Funds

What's the catch with GOF and funds like SHYIX along with others? They have massive dividend yields and capital appreciation. Some more than others though. So why shouldn't I make it a corner of my portfolio? Can anyone help me understand what these things are

    Posted: 23 Oct 2019 07:49 AM PDT

I'm 15, and want to enter the stock market, ik Im to young but I plane on entering with my dad and the account will be under his name. I was trying to find a broker, and I cant decide which one is the best to start with. I was looking into account types and I don't want use a margin acc, so questrade is out of the option. Im thinking about using TD Ameritrade, as they also offer many tools. Would this be a good choice?

Edit I am also in Canada.
