[USA] Fundamental stock analysis methods were you analyse the CEOs/Management? Posted: 30 Jun 2019 08:44 AM PDT I met a pretty smart guy recently who has had success investing with his particular method where he buys cheap companies when analysing that leadership change should help company "sort itself out". He has education in finance and quite a good one + has worked as a professional portfolio manager. He said that he analyses potential buys fundamentally by looking at any leadership change (a new CEO, management change) where the new people have a positive track record, which would lead to them turning failing companies around. I would like to know if this is a certain strategy, certain aspects of investing and where I could read more about it, more about these methods used to analyse management and their track records. Any information would be appreciated. [link] [comments] |
How do I get started/involved? Posted: 30 Jun 2019 08:14 PM PDT I'm interested in the stock market. I like to see business trends and also I have predicted start up businesses success in the past, and would like to invest in companies I think will do well, in hopes to make money. How do I get involved? How can I take my debit card today and invest money in stocks, in hopes to make money in the future? Where can I learn about investing and popular companies that are predicted to do well? Basically, I want to learn about the stock market and make money by investing my own money. I am not knowledgeable on this stuff, but I'd like to get to the point of making money eventually. Right now I want to learn. Can anyone give me some direction? Thanks guys. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 30 Jun 2019 07:18 PM PDT Looking into $SHOP (Shopify:TSE) as a good stock for 2019. Should I buy now or wait a bit? Their earnings report is at the end of July and I don't know how that will affect things. [link] [comments] |

get paid to buy stock you want to buy anyways... Posted: 30 Jun 2019 11:36 AM PDT Sell a put either in the money or just out of the money... Get paid up to 3% to do so. Pick the price you buy them at, not just market value... Example: sell put for 'X' at $15 (it's currently $15.30) and get paid $26 to do so. That's 1.6% return. If stock drops to or below $15 by Friday, you buy 100 shares for $15 each. Worried you'd lose money buying at $15 if it was $14.75 for example? It's better than buying when it was $15.30! And the $26 really reduces your cost basis to $14.74 a share anyhow! If it closes at $15.01 or above, you keep the $26 and don't have to buy the shares. Anyways, this is one of my many strategies for investing. A lot of people do it; I'm just surprised more aren't! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 30 Jun 2019 03:34 AM PDT So from my understanding the DNM's are going haywire right now. Would this effect the Bitcoin value? Was thinking it'd be worth waiting till the DNM to sort things out and gain some credibility with a new site or something and invest in Bitcoin before that kicks up [link] [comments] |
