Posted: 27 Mar 2018 10:06 AM PDT Congress is in the process of rolling back several of the Dodd-Frank regulations passed in the wake of the financial crisis. While the proposed changes will loosen the cumbersome restrictions on small banks, they could pave the way for further deregulation and put big banks on the path of becoming too powerful once again. Posted: 27 Mar 2018 04:45 AM PDT At the end of the day, FB will continue to be at the top of the chain as being a social media conglomerate. All the negative press will soon enough sweep under the rug. A few whales are definitely lining up to make some big plays on FB. Imo great opportunity in the near future to buy it to keep in one's long term investments. [link] [comments] |

Anyone else have trouble pulling stock data on Google Spreadsheet? Posted: 27 Mar 2018 08:10 AM PDT I've been getting incorrect stock data in past few days on some stocks. Anyone else having this problem? [link] [comments] |
$SHOP - buy more or hold due to uncertainty? Posted: 27 Mar 2018 12:05 PM PDT What's the consensus here? With FB's crackdown and tightening rules, will this affect Shopify's growth and revenue since a lot of traffic probably comes from FB ads? [link] [comments] |
$BZUN: $15 to $48 in past 12 months Posted: 27 Mar 2018 06:37 AM PDT There has been an incredible acceleration in this stock, how do we know their figures, sales revenue, profits, and expenses are accurate \ not overly manipulated? I have doubts that this stock can go up so much again in 2018, what do you all think? If anything it might go down to a more steady growth even if it means the price going down. But it has resisted these recent dips as well as amzn and nflx have. Will it hit $60 or $70 by end of year? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 27 Mar 2018 10:17 AM PDT What was extremely bullish a few weeks ago is now looking not-so-great. Current one-year target estimate is $32.17. Dr. Tyler Dylan-Hyde announced his retirement as Chief Legal Officer and Shelby Walker has been appointed as Head of Intellectual Property. Are you all still thinking this is a good long hold, or is it time to get out of the CRSP game? Interested to hear other thoughts. [link] [comments] |
Moving positions from google to Microsoft, good idea ? Posted: 27 Mar 2018 06:41 AM PDT So, 20% of my portfolio is in google right now and it has been couple of years since I started my position in google and have had good gains. As a growth investor, I was wondering how many of you would (at this point in time) would give a thumbs up for moving my entire stake in google to msft? Ps: I have no positions in msft. $NVDA currently down 3% on #GTC2018 Posted: 27 Mar 2018 10:27 AM PDT Maybe it's just me but I can't help how amazed I am while watching Jensen Huang present DGX2, GV100 and then some. So what if they suspend self driving car tests? Did the investors not take some time to understand how the echocardiogram was presented? What about the GPU cloud that was downloaded by 20,000 organizations? So much innovation and they let this fall just because of a precautionary move? Wow! edit: He just said that they're trying to solve the autonomous car problem, yet, CNBC yapped like it's the end of it. Smh [link] [comments] |
Posted: 27 Mar 2018 12:46 PM PDT I've been getting murdered today (guess who longed Nvidia) but I've been wondering whether this is the time to buy more? edit(I have index funds in my portfolio but this is my first dip into individual stocks). [link] [comments] |

Possible Black Swan Event for FB When They Report Next Posted: 27 Mar 2018 04:37 AM PDT A big driver for many social media stocks is MAU's (Monthly Active Users) and activity. Years ago investors figured out that a website that makes money mostly off ads can have many registered users but it does not mean they are active. Many are anticipating a big drop in Facebooks monthly active user number because of the privacy issues and the #DeleteFacebook trending hashtag. However, Deleting Facebook is not that easy for people. Besides the addiction aspects of it, many users use their FB login to access others sites and apps. Furthermore, what about the people who logged into facebook that have not logged in for a long time just to see how many of their friends are gone? Aren't they now an active user for the next report? What about people who logged in to FB and intended to delete it but never actually did? Once again, there go more active users. I would be concerned to short FB leading up to the next report as I fear a black swan event like this. I would be way more open to shorting it leading up to the third qtr report when we can starting see more accurate MAU numbers and activity. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 27 Mar 2018 08:26 AM PDT Anyone else also excited about this stock? Been climbing slowly. Top golf is awesome. High-end products and golf go together well, especially when the economy is rising. And with the masters coming up I hope it has a little breakout. Thoughts? [link] [comments] |
With recent volatility what's good % for stop loss order in technology sector? Posted: 27 Mar 2018 01:53 PM PDT I've put amzn stop loss at 5% and it's sold most of them. Any suggestions where should I set the limits with increased technology volatility ? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 27 Mar 2018 07:02 AM PDT I'm looking for information on the risks associated with investment in an IPO that has no underwriters. I've found a lot of information on, like, the definition of underwriters, but an upcoming IPO NYSE: is going to not have any underwriters. I don't want advice on the company itself unless any information requires the company's specifics for context. I just wanna know, generally, what safeguards are not in place in a non-underwritten company? TIA. [link] [comments] |
$NFLX negative free cash flow, let’s talk Posted: 27 Mar 2018 12:20 AM PDT I can't figure out why a high valued company with a negative free cash flow is thriving a lot better than the others. $NFLX p/e ratio as of now is at 224.46, and when people suggested that there's a correction mode, it didn't even drop below $300, still above its 50&200MA. Other than $FB holders jumping on $NFLX because of the scandal, the only reason I'm seeing is because Wall St likes this company for whatever reason. They're up more than 6% yesterday. I'm holding Netflix, but I just find them intriguing. I've been watching it for a while now. What are your thoughts? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 27 Mar 2018 09:03 AM PDT Why arent shipping company stocks rising? Shouldn't they be doing well with all the e-commerce going on recently? Stocks like fedex and ups are both dropping [link] [comments] |

Bond market is saying we go lower Posted: 27 Mar 2018 11:52 AM PDT The bond market has been getting a bid all day today. I wouldn't ignore this, we've rallied the last few days on decelerating volume. There's no conviction to this bounce. Good luck everyone! [link] [comments] |
