Posted: 01 Dec 2017 09:14 AM PST This morning former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn pled guilty to lying to federal officers. WHAT WE KNOW:
WHAT IS PLAUSIBLY SUSPECTED
WHAT IS RANK SPECULATION
This is the place to discuss this issue. This isn't the place to hate on the president, or accuse the media of being fake or anything else that is stupidly political and fails to add to the debate. Try to keep your questions related to the legal issues, as there are other subreddits to discuss the political implications. [link] [comments] |
Identity being used on Tinder, match contacted my wife Posted: 01 Dec 2017 04:59 AM PST (USA) 4 months ago I noticed a suspicious charge on my PayPal account from Tinder, what I assume was for their premium service. Disputed it, got my money back, changed my PayPal password and moved on. Never used Tinder in my life before by the way. Fast forward to today, my wife received a message on Facebook from a stranger. They claimed to know me and know where I work from looking me up on LinkedIn. They mentioned that they went on a date with me, looked me up on Facebook and noticed I was married so she reached out to my wife to let her know that I was apparently cheating. Moments later I got an email from PayPal letting me know of a suspicious charge yet again from Tinder. I've submitted another dispute and plan on deleting the PayPal account. I have also given a heads up to my HR department at work that I may be dealing with identity theft. I'm feeling sick but thankfully my wife has laughed it off. We are happily married and trust each other completely. The stranger mentioned we went on a date on Tuesday which is complete bullshit because my wife and I spent the entire day together at home. What can I do? I've emailed Tinder and I'm hoping they'll do something but from Google searching it doesn't seem likely. I've also tried looking up other men with the same name on Facebook but couldn't find any. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Dec 2017 07:18 AM PST A family member was hired some months back with the Defense Commissary Agency in Pennsylvania on the offer of making over $13 an hour. They have worked for a few months for the Agency and have been commended for performance and even pushed towards taking a higher responsibility position. However now they are being told there was a miscommunication and the boss hired during a hiring freeze so they won't be paying for almost any work performed during this time. Three paychecks have been issued one of which amounted to less than $2.00 and combined doesn't come close to the wage agreed upon at hire. The manager is telling my family member there is nothing to be done. Does anyone know if there is any option at this point? Any chance of recovering more wages or at least making a formal complaint? [NY][UPDATE] Someone stole my wife's mail with credit card and spent $1500 yesterday Posted: 01 Dec 2017 07:25 AM PST Original post: https://www.reddit.com/r/legaladvice/comments/7g4uzu/someone_stole_my_wifes_mail_with_credit_card_and/ My wife submitted "Mail Theft" claim and someone post office called her. It was not an investigator. The staff told her that someone in the Bank stole the card. My wife said that it's not possible since my envelope was shown in "Informed Delivery". The post office suggested we cancel the card and that was it. I don't even know if the USPIS will look at her claim. She did get a claim#. She received a new card from the Bank sent overnight via UPS and it was exactly the same "unmarked" envelope. I looked through my security camera and saw the mailman and I opening the mailbox. Is there anything else we can do? I told her to file a police report but she hasn't done so... She thinks the post office is protecting their employees and the officers will do the same... I said no. Do we wait? TIA [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Dec 2017 06:54 AM PST https://www.reddit.com/r/legaladvice/comments/7fo3xz/ontario_can_designated_driver_exits_vehicle_at/ My cousin got great news this morning, charges are to be dropped by crown! This was in response to a meeting with his lawyer and crown out of court, the formal withdrawal will occur at a session today. It is unknown if the automatic suspension, ADLS and vehicle impound will be ordered reversed, supposedly the courts can go either way. Edit. I should clarify. The license suspension will be dropped, whats unknown is the reversal of the ADLS and impound fees. This has cost him about a $600 in legal fees so far. [link] [comments] |
I am pregnant and on restrictions. Can my job fire me? Slightly complicated situation. Please help. Posted: 01 Dec 2017 07:42 AM PST So starting from the beginning - this is in Wisconsin, which is an at will state. However there are protections in place for discrimination, etc. I will provide all the non identifying information I can think of just in case anything may be relevant. I am currently 6 weeks pregnant, and my OB put me on restrictions which include no lifting, pushing or otherwise moving anything more than 20 pounds. I do not often handle things this heavy at my job. However my job will force you to stay home and use your own sick points/leave of absence to cover the days you were forced to stay home, if you are put on restrictions of any kind. They do not usually accommodate people, as it is a fast paced factory environment. I have been employed at my night time job for close to 3 years. Part time, 20-25 hours a week. I have used all of my sick days (I was diagnosed with narcolepsy back in February and have been struggling to deal with that) and this past Wednesday two days ago I was placed on a 3 day suspension/30 day probation, for using all of my sick days. If I were to call in any day within those 30 days I would be terminated. Last night my boss told me I was not allowed to come in due to the restrictions. He said that it will not count against my probation but HR will need to weigh in on what to do from there. If they tell me I am fired, are they within their legal rights to do this? Normally it would be black and white NO you cannot fire a woman for being pregnant. But I was placed on a probation literally the day before I was given the restrictions by my OB. [link] [comments] |
Abusive mom, 17 years old, can't go into foster care Posted: 01 Dec 2017 08:04 AM PST My mom beat me up yesterday and I still have a black eye, and now I'm at school and people have been asking all day what happened. I can't report to the police because I live in Tennessee where corporal punishment is legal and my mom can just claim she was disciplining me. My mom is also a pathological liar and started hitting her face with a hammer. In Tennessee foster homes/group homes are only allowed to hold 16 year olds at the oldest. I'm 18 in September 2018, which is just way too long to wait. If I move out, she will claim I'm a run away and if they find me I'll be put in juvie (This is normal in Tennessee, I've seen it happened many times, it's a backwards state) I feel like my only option is to run away, like hide at my friend's house who lives in a different state. I really need advice. I can't get emancipated either, because in Tennessee that requires parental consent. EDIT: I already called CPS and they said they can't do anything because the age limit for foster care/group homes is 16. [link] [comments] |
My apartment complex is allowing construction crews to plug into my power. Posted: 30 Nov 2017 10:40 PM PST So there are some renovations going on at my apartment complex. They had a generator there the first couple of days, then I noticed that they were plugged into the power outside my patio. I emailed the rental company about this and they said that the outside power is not connected to my bill. Well my bill this month was about triple and they are claiming that it must be from my usage not from the construction crew. What should I do about this? Edit: I flipped the breaker last night and got a knock on my door this morning telling me their electric outside wasn't working. I emailed my rental company and am waiting on a response. NC/USA - Mail lady keeps taking packages home and marking them "delivered." Posted: 30 Nov 2017 07:34 PM PST This KEEPS. HAPPENING. She marks them as delivered, then takes them home with her, planning to deliver them the next day or the day after. Is there anything I can do about it, other than continue calling the post office and yelling at the poor woman who just works the counter there? A few times, she has done this with time sensitive packages, and the one she "delivered" to her own home tonight was an expensive gift. When she marks these packages as delivered, it's just our word against hers. Our neighborhood has a Facebook group, and I'm not the only one who is getting frustrated by this. [link] [comments] |
Mu sister in law raised the price of her car after we bought it. What do we do now? Posted: 01 Dec 2017 11:30 AM PST We have never had an issue with this sister. She called us up in august and offered to sell us her car for a discounted rate. It was a 2002 Honda crv with over 200k miles. We bought the car and owe $1000 still and pay monthly. We live in layton utah, she lives in st. George Utah A few days ago i was cut off while driving strait on a side street and had no time to react. The car was totaled and we just found out we will receive 4500 for the car. (I put new tires, a battery and windshield wipers on the car). We called her to tell her about the accident and told her we will pay her the 1000 immediately and use the 3500 to buy another car. She said since she feels the car was worth more than she sold it for she should gdt $2000 from the settlement. This limits us alot on getting a new car obviously. The problem is she held the title when we bought the car because it was already registered in our state and my wife thought we had to register it again in our city( it wont pass smog) so it was easier to transfer the title once we could fix it. The only thing we have to prove what we agreed upon is text stating our payment plan. What should we do next the insurance wants to send her the whole amount since ita her name on the title. Tldr: she holds the title still and we have no contract. The only thing we have is some text to prove what we told her we would pay and her agreeing to it. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Dec 2017 05:52 AM PST located in Iowa. my ex's place got broken into and had some things stolen, the police found a print and want to compare to my prints to rule me out. I haven't done anything illegal, I'd just like to stay as off the books with the police as possible. its not that I don't want to be helpful, I'd just rather not be "in the system" do the police enter all my info and prints into the system for this sort of thing? [RI] Overpaid by employer, they want it back, question of my rights. Posted: 01 Dec 2017 05:45 AM PST Hi, I know this has been asked before but I wanted to get specifics for my situation. I switched from semi-nocturnist to days in July of this year which entails a pay cut. I get direct deposit and there are large fluctuations frequently with my paychecks due to extra shifts I've worked, quarterly incentives, etc. so I didn't notice it until just now doing open enrollment for benefits. I told my employer immediately. They want it all back, it is 9k. I know I have to pay it back even though this is their fault and a little mine for not paying closer attention to my paychecks, but my questions are what rights do I have in saying HOW it gets paid back? They can't take money out of my check without my permission right? Can I say they can take $500 a pay check until it is paid off? How does it effect taxes? What if they want to take more, can they force me to do that? I don't have any specifics yet as to how they want me to pay it back, my boss isn't sure yet but said they'll let me know and I just wanted to be as informed of my rights as possible. Thanks in advance for your time and advice. [link] [comments] |
Neighbor cut down our tree (Pennsylvania) Posted: 30 Nov 2017 11:56 PM PST A few weeks ago (I believe it was 11/11) I looked out my back window as I was pouring coffee as I do every morning and noticed a tree was gone. The previous day was windy and I thought maybe the tree broke. I went out to look and the tree was gone, cut down to a stump and completely gone. Not even a branch. It was cut down and they didn't even have the courtesy to leave the firewood. Nothing. I have a fenced in yard. They either jumped the fence or came around and entered through the gate. Either way, they cut down my perfectly healthy 15ish ft lilac and trespassed to do it. A few hours later, after cooling down, my husband went over to find out why they trespassed and cut down our tree. The wife said she didn't know anything about it and her husband was out of town, he'll be back in a few hours and she'll send him over. He never showed up. The next day my husband went back and he wasn't home again but she said he hired a tree service and thought it was their property but went out to verify and realized it wasn't and he'll call later. Again, didn't hear from him. A day later he finally called and set up a time to meet up. When they finally met up, the husband tried to bullshit, said there were property issues, said he didn't know the property line (even though the wife confirmed he told her he found the property marker and he literally had to climb our fence to cut down the tree) he was a jerk but when my husband started talking about going to the police he said to get him an estimate to replace to tree. We got an estimate and put it in their mailbox last week (it was about 8pm when we got a chance to drop it off and thought it was too late to knock, so left it in the mailbox). We haven't heard from them since. We don't know what to do. Again, they jumped our fence to cut down the tree (he also cut down a tree on his side and cut out a new garden space, I think he noticed my tree would have blocked the sun on his new garden so he just jumped the fence and cut it down thinking we wouldn't notice. He initially lied and said it was small, then said it was growing into his yard, then said we couldn't even see it from our house)This wasn't a potential property line issue. It was a full grown tree that gave beautiful flowers every year that I trimmed to make floral arrangements. It also provided a bit of privacy. This isn't something that can easily be replaced. We really tried to be patient. FFS, we haven't even gotten a proper apology let alone some sort of remedy to this. We didn't want to involve the police because it's a neighbor and we wanted to handle it calmly. Should we file a police report now that we've exhausted all reasonable measures? Is it worth it to sue? I don't want to let it go but is that the best option? Btw, I took a lot of pictures of the tree stump and the fence. I also have pictures of the tree from last summer and a floral arrangement I made last spring from the flowers. Thank you in advance. [link] [comments] |
Lost my civilian job while deployed, company says I have no rights. Posted: 30 Nov 2017 11:05 PM PST I am a National Guardsman (Mi) who just returned from a deployment to find that my civilian job was terminated 5 months into a 7 month deployment as a result of "workforce reduction". I called HR and the woman I spoke with told me that because I was a long-term, temporary employee, that I have no rights or protection under USERRA. I had been working with the company for over a year in this positions and was given all the same benefits as regular employees (health, vision, dental, 401k, etc). Now the company is treating me like I have leprosy and the union is telling me their hands are tied. All my other coworkers were able to bid on other jobs in the company and are currently employed. I have been working hard for years to get the skill set to get into this company and now I am back at square one. [link] [comments] |
Consultants want to sell software I wrote for my company Posted: 01 Dec 2017 09:52 AM PST I'm a software developer for a private university. I wrote a timesheet program for them. Recently we've had consultants over to discuss our IT options. They were very interested in my timesheet software and after some research, came back and told us there weren't any other universities using a timesheet program and that word of my program had been spreading from campus to campus. I took a 20k annual paycut for this job on the condition and verbal agreement that I could retain full ownership on all of my programs. Now my boss is trying to get in on the deal by saying the consultants go through the university. I'm okay with them getting in on the deal and I have people who will look over our contract. I'm just looking for any extra insight and advice on the situation. Thanks guys! Edit: I forgot to mention, all my work is kept in an encrypted folder on my desktop and usb. I am also the only software developer in the IT department [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Dec 2017 04:38 AM PST Let me start off by saying; I know I fucked up. I know how, I know why, I know to never do it again. Last February (2017) I went dress shopping with my MOH. It's this local boutique that gets good business, that from the outside looked lovely. I'm not good at this sort of stuff, picking wedding dresses or anything like this. We had walked in not even planning on trying anything on, just looking. Well that wasn't acceptable. The attendant that helped us, said it was okay to try stuff, I didn't have to buy. I should've stuck to my guns. The whole time I asked.abojt their policy. Do they do monthly payments? Yes. How much is this dress? It's a stock model so you can get it and alterations for $1400 (which is sadly a steal in the wedding market). Can I pick it up or does it have to be delivered? I could pick it up. The dress i tried on was lovely and I fell for it. It had just lost a bunch of weight and it was a low back and all lace. I fell. But I was getting a discount since it was the stock piece, the one I was literally trying on, that I would be buying. That was what I was told. Then came time for the contract. They said while the put together the contract, they needed my card. This was the first moment I felt uncomfortable and it just kept getting worse. While the attendant wrote up my contract and invoice, the owner of the place came over and asked if I would write a social media review for her. I figured why not? Then could I review her on Facebook. Could I enter her Instagram sweepstakes? Pretty much every social platform she could think of, she kept handing me back the tablet. Eventually I lied about not having any other forms of media. And the contract came. My $1400 dress was now $2770. I looked at the line items, barely able to read them, but figured out that the price of the dress was $1400, then shipping (which I didn't request), a veil (which I did), alterations which weren't supposed to be needed since the dress fit me perfectly, and tax. I signed the contract, remembering that there was a payment plan. I could do a payment plan. When I got to the counter, I asked how the payment plan was going to work, and the owner swipes my card in front of me and says "there is no payment plan." I asked her to pause so I could go out front and call my dad, because this was more than I was willing to pay. She said it was too late, the payment had already processed. Then she got me to take a "yes to the dress" picture and leave. I was shell shocked. I had just paid $2770 for a stupid dress. I spent a few days looking over my options before I finally called the store and asked to cancel. I had bought the dress on a Sunday, and I contacted them on Wednesday. At first the owner refused to talk to me, the attendant saying she wasn't there. I emailed her, and got a call from the old attendant asking if she had done anything wrong. I felt guilty, like I had hurt this woman. But I pushed. The owner finally got back to me on Friday and said she couldn't do a return. She kept asking why I didn't want it, and I just kept telling her it was personal. She then offered to give me a refund for everything but the dress and the shipping (about $2000). I asked why she couldn't just cancel the entire order and she told me it was because they already ordered my dress. What? Why would you have to order the dress I had on it the store? That's why I was "getting a discount" was because it was a stock dress. At that point I contacted my bank (on advice) and tried to recall the payment. The bank and I went back and forth for months on this. Finally in September they said there was nothing they could do. At this point I had already bought another dress. My wedding was in October so I didn't have a chance to handle this until November. My husband and I went down to talk to the owner on person. She said she could give me the same deal she offered before, but only charge me the $1400 for the dress, and they would try and sell it for me as long as I signed a thing saying I would pay for it to be dry cleaned if needed. Fine. That was still a good chunk of money to get back. She was supposed to email me the new agreement with a notification of refund. It's been three weeks. Every week, twice a week, I call the store and I don't get the owner. She's always busy and never calls me back. I've emailed her to no response. I do not have the dress. I'm out $2770. I know I messed up, but the point still stands that I've paid for something that is not in my possession and the owner isn't communicating with me. I live in Maryland. What do I do? Can I do anything? Edit: I do NOT have the dress I paid for. I used a different dress for the wedding because the bank and I were fighting over the charge. [link] [comments] |
Assured Clear Distance Ahead (OH) Posted: 01 Dec 2017 01:04 PM PST Hi legaladvice, I apologize for the formatting (I'm on mobile). I was in a minor car accident with 3 other drivers a few days ago. We were all coming off a red light heading through an intersection, when the first car (Driver 0) in the line hit their brakes to make a left. Everyone brakes except the driver behind me, who was using their phone and distracted (Driver 3), who makes no attempt at stopping and hits me going ~30 mph. My back end is pretty messed up along with theirs. But the impact from the car behind me hitting me pushed me gently into the driver (Driver 2) in front of me, which pushed him into the car in front of him (Driver 1). Both me and Driver 3 end up getting cited and ticketed. In addition, it turns out Driver 0 did not have a license and was driving a stolen vehicle. I feel I was wrongly cited, because I stopped with plenty of time to spare, and was only pushed into Driver 2. Do I have any chance of successfully fighting this alone in court? [link] [comments] |
[MI] Hey reddit, how do you deal with drug dealers in your neighborhood? Posted: 01 Dec 2017 08:47 AM PST Hey all, I want to preface this by saying that usually I don't care about the goings on of any neighbors, but recently a large group of people bought a house on the block, and the cars coming and going all night, (stop in for 2-3 minutes and then leave,) the loud groups looking for their fix, and property damage are getting old. I've talked to a few different officers of my local sheriffs department to seeming no avail. All of my neighbors are getting irritated by the same things and we don't know what to do. Cars drive on our grass and rip it up, (we have no sidewalks,) gravel from their driveway has been flung by around into other vehicles when they 'squeal' out, and one dude had a window broken. I'm not a person for vigilante justice, never gonna happen. But as a neighborhood collective were all getting pissed. Any ideas? [link] [comments] |
[Update] [FL] Car held by shop for over a month Posted: 01 Dec 2017 05:01 AM PST TL;DR of last post: called insurance when my engine hydrolocked on 10/29. They sent it to another county at a pep boys and repairs hadn't started. So... repairs still havent started. I got USAA to move my vehicle to a dealership yesterday and im hoping repairs will happen soon but now i have a question regarding the previous shop. It was discovered the shop was lying to me and USAA. I would call the shop and theyd claim they havent heard from my insurance. My insurance finally panicked after i sent a 2nd email to CEO relations and left voicemails asking if this was a case of negligence on their part and they got me in contact with a manager who had notes of her conversations with the shop. She said the shop was claiming that I MYSELF told them I would be bringing the engine for the repair. Wtf?!? Is there any way I can get this shop punished for lying and holding my vehicle hostage for a month while they gave me and my insurance the run around? Can they do things like this with no consequence? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Dec 2017 06:54 AM PST I want to have a commercial farm on my property which the county is fine with. A few neighbors say no stating CCNRs. Except they are not compliant with the CCNRs themselves and many other neighbors have commercial activity such as farms or AirBNBs. I have twenty acres in a rural area where there are lots of farms. They are saying that does not matter. There is no home association. No architectural committee. No road association. Nothing. Just a bunch of hippies doing whatever they want. A few live in shacks and have tenants in RVs which is upside down and sideways not allowed. From reading the CCNRs it's seems clear that once a percentage of properties were purchased the rules go to the property owners. To me it seems these property owners spoke forty years ago when they chose not to adhere to the CCNRs. One even says his tenants are okay because they came with the property but they were not there before 1971 when the rules where made. I do have a lawyer I'm speaking to in a few weeks I just want all my facts before meeting with him. Thank you. Mendocino county [link] [comments] |
Posted: 30 Nov 2017 03:54 PM PST New York. My parents got separated in 2013. Long story short, my father did some shitty things and landed himself in jail for a couple nights. While he was in jail, my mother filed for a restraining order which forced my father out of the house. My mother attempted to take ownership of the house but couldn't due to poor credit, so I took over and the house is now mine (mortgage and deed). Between 2013-present, my father was allowed per my parents' separation agreement to come retrieve his things from the house so long as he had a representative with him (either a cop or someone he and my mother agreed upon to watch him and make sure he didn't get out of line). He never came to get his things. Now that I own the house, my father has been leaving threatening voicemails saying he'll take me to court to come get his things because I'm not allowing him to come by to get his stuff. Makes no sense to me because the guy literally had 4 years to do it and never did. Should probably also mention that November of last year (before I owned the home) my father drove to the house in a drunken stupor and attempted to break in. My mother and I filed joint restraining orders against him which just expired earlier this month. Anyhow, as a homeowner, does my father have any legal standing to demand entrance to my property to retrieve his things? Seeing as he and my mother no longer own the home and I do, does their separation agreement (in terms of him being able to come get his things) still have any validity? I personally would rather never speak to him again, and honestly if he keeps leaving me nasty voice mails I'll be going down to the courts and refiling for a restraining order. He knows I want nothing to do with him. I have no issue gathering his things but he can't put it in writing what he wants. He just wants to be able to come here and rummage through everything, which no way in hell am I allowing. [link] [comments] |
[TX] Friends dad is perving on her Posted: 30 Nov 2017 06:23 PM PST Today I stopped by work and my underage coworker pulled me aside. What she told me is that her sister has discovered small holes in the attic above her bedroom and bathroom shower from the attic and whenever she would shower or change, her dad would hurry up to the attic and rush back down after her shower. He claims it was rats, but they are clearly made by a drill. My question is this: how do I help her catch this perv in the act? I told her I was going to buy her a couple wifi cameras, one for the attic and one for outside the bathroom so she can show he's going up there to look through the holes when she's undressed. I also told her not to tell anyone until she has evidence and calls the police. Is this the right course of action? Am I overlooking anything? Can anyone recommend a brand of camera? Neither of us make a lot of money, but catching this guy is more important than that. Edit: the police will be notified first thing tomorrow. Thanks for the advice. [link] [comments] |
[CA] My employer is trying to restrict access to the employee bathroom to only certain employees. Posted: 30 Nov 2017 09:52 PM PST I work at a tutoring/supplemental schooling center. There are two restrooms in the center. One is a gender-neutral, single-person, "Employees Only" restroom locked with a keypad. I received the code from another employee on my first day working there. The other is a gender-neutral, single-person restroom open to anyone else. This includes students, parents, employees, etc. My employer has tried in the past to implement rules restricting male employees from using the employee restroom and to just use the general restroom, however these rules did not stick. Now once again my employer is attempting to restrict all part-time employees (the majority of the staff) from using this employee restroom on the grounds that these employees are leaving a mess. So my question is: Is my employer allowed to restrict only certain employees from using the employee restroom, since there is also a general restroom? [link] [comments] |
Am I entitled to getting my rent back? Posted: 01 Dec 2017 04:23 AM PST I'm just sick over this: (By the way, I am located in Livonia, MI) I rented a house for one year, while looking for a house to buy. Everything aligned nicely, I was able to close about six weeks before my lease was up. This gave me a little time to clean up, move, paint, etc. My husband did the walk through with the landlord (not the nicest lady). In short, she said we were good tenants (always paid on time , quite, clean, etc). My husband gave back the keys that day (about 30 days ago.). Here's the deal: between moving, caring for a baby, just finally setting up my computer, I just noticed I forgot to stop the automatic payment with my bank. Since we moved, we've paid 2 months rent, equaling $3200. What I did was this (just yesterday). I sent landlord certified letter telling her I forgot to turn off auto pay, and I'd like the $3200 sent to us by December 15. Oy. And to make matters worse, we haven't received our $2400 security deposit. It will be 30 days tomorrow. 🤦🏻♀️ [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Dec 2017 01:01 PM PST A couple nights ago a drunk driver rounded the corner and hit a couple cars in front of my house. She ravaged the car behind mine and shoved it into mine, completely destroying the back end of my car. She drove away (hit and run) making it a couple miles away before she was found. She was drunk, and had open alcohol containers in her car. My car is my only mode of transportation to work. For the past 3 days my dad has had to take me to work, (9-10 miles in the opposite direction) and drop me off in front of the building at 5:30am so that he's not late for his job, and I have no choice but to sit outside and wait for someone to open the gate at 8:00am so that I may go inside. Her insurance company (AmFam) has told me that they are not able to give me a rental at this time because they have not received a statement from their driver and determined liability. How can that be when their covered driver was charged with a dui? Are they telling me the truth and should I be patient for another couple days, or am I being run around by these guys? Any help is appreciated. Thanks, guys! [link] [comments] |
