Significant Insider Trading Activity (Last 7 Days) Posted: 01 Jul 2019 11:03 AM PDT This is a list of the top 20 companies that experienced the largest change in insider shares in the last seven (7) days. The SEC defines an insider as any officer, director or 10% shareholder. It is not illegal for these people to buy or sell their own shares. In fact, since most of them get paid in stock options, it is expected. However, it is illegal for them to trade on inside information that has not been made public. So for example if there are drug trial results that are bad and not public, insiders cannot dump shares. That said, many people have observed that insiders - in general - seem to have a good track record at timing their purchases. All trades that are marked as part of a 10b5 plan are excluded from this report. Largest Insider Buying (Last 7 Days) Company | Count | Shares Changed | Avg. Twitter (TWTR) Stock Technical Analysis Report Posted: 01 Jul 2019 07:16 AM PDT SUMMARY: - Twitter's revenue streams are based around their social media platform.
- They collect user data, and use this data to sell targeted ad space. Plus, they sell the data they collect to "subscribers."
- TWTR's problem is that it is not Facebook.
- So far, the stock has moved in three distinct phases.
- Currently, it is in a descending triangle pattern.
- There are three separate trades to look out for.
- 2 long-term trades & 1 short-term.

Anyone into Invitae Corporation ($NVTA)? Posted: 01 Jul 2019 06:41 PM PDT Low share price at the moment ($23.79) and forecasts have it a great long-term hold stock (over 5 years.) It's just that it seems like a new biotech company pops up every day and I want to be sure to bet on the right horse. Which such a low share rate now, this is something where I won't feel like I missed the boat like I do with Nvidia ($NVDA) which now has a higher barrier of entry. Significant Activist Hedge Fund Activity (Last 7 Days) Posted: 01 Jul 2019 11:03 AM PDT These are the latest Schedule 13D forms filed by activist investors in the last 7 days. Activist investors are investors that make an investment with the intention of influencing management in some way. There is evidence that following activist investors into investments can generate excess returns. Schedule 13G forms, in contrast, are filed by significant investors with no intention of influencing management (such as Index funds). There is always a lot of interest in insider trades, but what a lot of people probably don't realize is that hedge fund activity is probably more predictive of future returns than insider activity. The reason is that hedge funds (a) have large research budgets, and (b) have a choice where to put their money. In contract, insiders have no choice where to put their money, but only when to time their transactions. New Filings This table lists new 13D filings in the last week. A new filing does not necessarily indicate a new position, as investors frequently accumulate in advance before reaching the filing threshold. IIPR: the only pot stock with real steady growth in the short and long term? Posted: 01 Jul 2019 09:34 AM PDT I'm in the cannabis industry and have been invested in some pot stocks for sometime. Does anyone else have a feeling or share the opinion that the market is really only seeing value right now in land leasing companies in the cannabis sector? I have lost money in most other pot stocks but for this one. Anyone share a similar feeling? Or anyone feeling the opposite? I got in at 41 and it's now at 126 so you can say I'm happy about my gains. submitted by /u/blanketstereotype [link] [comments] |

Looking for a few companies to invest in that do well when the market declines. Who should I research next? Posted: 01 Jul 2019 12:35 AM PDT I am looking for companies that are more profitable when the market declines to hedge risk instead of buying bonds to diversify. A few companies that make inferior goods (think Ramen Noodles), that make some money even when things are good, but get a surge when people have a smaller budget. I have invested some in gold production: KL, GOLD, and FNV and don't want more stocks in this area. My first thought is CarMax KMX but I have more weight in the Automotive industry than I really should have due to having worked in it. I don't mind if they have a high P/E but I do want them to be already profitable and not too highly leveraged. submitted by /u/potodds [link] [comments] |
