For the first time in years, iPhone sales no longer account for the majority of Apple's overall revenue. | Posted: 31 Jul 2019 12:43 PM PDT Im a college student and I decided to get into trading. I started with 1000 dollars in Robinhood and just tried to get my toes in it. That never really amounted to anything big so I figured I would go all in on think or swim and I put 4900 dollars in to trade with. I was doing alright for a few weeks and made good trades here and there. I was up to nearly 5500 but then I bet on Netflix and their earnings and lost nearly 1800 dollars. I decided to sell and then made about a 100 dollars the following day but I bought into Ford just before their earnings. That took a turn for the worst as well. I'm in Ford at 9.84 but I'm down 250 dollars. Should I just stop trading and save my money? I'm at a loss. I thought I could be responsible and make good trades to help my way through college but it seems I'm just digging a hole. I feel sick knowing I've lost my money. Any advice or even just general input would be much appreciated. That's pretty good since we already knew the consumer deleveraged this cycle and is recently experiencing solid real wage growth. The latest data revision shows Q1 corporate profits were revised down by $245 billion, but wages and salaries were revised higher by $228 billion. This explains why I think the revision was related to the exercising of stock option plans. NIPA counts employee stock ownership plans as income at the point of exercise rather than when the options are granted. This income is offset against corporate profits. The internet has certainly matured since the late 90's. So am I wrong to be so bullish in thinking that a growing dynamic population is feeding an expanding economy? I am an employee of a company that does an Employee stock purchase plan (ESPP) and something called RS or Restricted Stocks that vest over a certain period of time. I currently have 10 shares of both ESPP and 10 shares of RS—none of which are vested. There is roughly a $20 difference between the two totals. Fit bit is now worth 3.50. I think my break even is 3.86. Because you cant trade options after hours im not sure what they are worth now. | Surge in Allahabad Bank shares on approval of Rs2000-Cr Fund raise Posted: 31 Jul 2019 03:14 AM PDT he public sector lender Allahabad Bank's shares recovered from the intraday low during the afternoon hours after the Bank board approved plans to raise funds up to Rs.2000-Cr. According to its reporting, the Allahabad Bank has obtained approval from its Board for raising equity capital of the Bank by an amount up to Rs2000.00-Cr, including premium, through QIP or Qualified Institutions Placement, subject to the regulatory consents. This step is positive for the bank as it would boost its capital adequacy ratio, which would support the bank to improve its loan growth. This is part of the Allahabad bank's scheme to mop-up to Rs.4000-Cr this year to boost business growth. Allahabad Bank stock reacted to the development and touched its intraday high stock level of Rs.41.15 per share after opening lower by Rs.38.95 in the morning trade on the NSE. At 3.05pm, Wednesday, the stock traded higher by 3.46pc at Rs.40.40 per share on the NSE, in comparison, the Nifty scaled up at 11,110, up by 24.60-pts and the Sensex up by 68-pts at 37466-level [link] [comments]  |
