Amazon will now let Prime members pick which day to get their items delivered, and it's a stealthy way for the company to cut down on its fastest-rising cost

    Posted: 28 Feb 2019 10:16 AM PST

    https://www.businessinsider.com/amazon-launches-amazon-day-pick-a-day-delivery-service-2019-2

Amazon has announced "Amazon Day," an initiative that lets customers pick the day of the week they want their Amazon orders to be delivered.

All orders designated for the Amazon Day made that week will be delivered on that day grouped in one shipment.

It can be convenient for customers to know exactly what day an order will be delivered.

It also helps Amazon lower its ballooning shipment costs by processing and fulfilling fewer orders with fewer of them needing to get to the customer in two days or less.

Lyft's IPO is to happen on March followed by Uber. I've never been able to act on an IPO. What do you guys think about this one?

    Posted: 28 Feb 2019 07:42 AM PST

I've either not been aware or didn't have any amount of money I could use towards something like "purchasing stocks" until very recently.

I've been looking at these 2 companies but I find conflicting views and I myself am conflicted because I see the bad points in each, I see the challenges but also the possible gains (not monetarily but if they reach full self-driving cars).

I doubt they will cease to exist but maybe the IPO is overhyped and then money is lost or not sure, I'm in an unknown terrain here. Any recommendations to a new comer?

    Posted: 28 Feb 2019 11:35 AM PST

I see some companies have an ex-dividend date for 3/1 a record date of 3/4 and a payment date of 3/15.

Does that mean if I own the stock on 3/1 I will be paid the dividend?

Why wouldn't everyone buy ahead of the ex-dividend date and sell immediately after? It sounds like free money to me.

HPQ. The drop is an overreaction

    Posted: 28 Feb 2019 12:11 PM PST

This is still a healthy company, it wasn't trading at a steep multiple, pretty much a dividend aristocrat, below $20 I think presents a good buying opportunity. They have huge moats in their core businesses. I see 3D printing being a growth driver over the next decade and beyond. Plus anytime I'm at an office or a store register, the equipment nearly always has a HP logo somewhere. The short term problems are priced in at the moment below $20

Tesla faces a cash crunch with a $920 million debt payment due Friday (CNBC)

For Tesla, $920 million in convertible senior notes are set to expire on Friday at a conversion price of $359.87 per share.

Tesla shares haven't traded above $359 for weeks, so the company will have to pay that debt in cash.

What do these buyout terms mean?

    Posted: 28 Feb 2019 01:57 PM PST

I sold the stock before this happened, but I'm interested in what this means.

Upon closing, current Apricus stockholders will receive one Contingent Value Right (CVR) per share of Apricus common stock owned. The CVR is comprised of the following payments:

CVR holders will be entitled to receive 90% of any cash payments (or the fair market value of any non-cash payments) exceeding $500,000 received, during a period of ten years from the closing of the merger, based on the sale or out-licensing of the Vitaros assets, including any milestone payments, less reasonable transaction expenses, as fully described in the CVR Agreement that will be entered into among Apricus, Seelos and the Rights Agent.

    https://globenewswire.com/news-release/2019/01/15/1691540/0/en/Apricus-Biosciences-Stockholders-Approve-Proposed-Merger-with-Seelos-Therapeutics-Inc.html

Is this really tracking the sales of the Vitaros assets and paying them out to CVR holders over the next 10 years? I haven't seen anything like this.

If I still had it through the buyout, what would it be listed as in my account? CVR-APRI, value of 0 with a dividend if something ever came of it? (Understood to be unlikely in this case).

Judging by the share price graph of APRI there wasn't a premium on it. More of a RTO.

By the looks of it with my brief dd, it looks promising. One of main reasons is because they got their foot in the door in China, Latin America and Africa. They are planning to expand to Mexico and China more. Ceo owns 61% of all shares and he is an expert in agriculture specializing in water irrigation. Cronos ordered their product that is worth 500k already.

Ive got both these stocks for long since i think AR and VR are both underrated on potential boom even if everyone says they are priced in. These both have been plummeting though. Are they just fake traps where the ceo is just taking all the money? or do they have potential?
AR/VR kind of dropped off in the last year but its gonna blow up at some point be it 1 year or 10 imo. It seems like such a safe bet overall, just hard to pick the right companies that will be the leaders.
