How do I figure out what oil price the market is expecting in 5 years? Posted: 09 Aug 2018 05:32 PM PDT I have an internship researching the energy sector and I was wondering how I could go about figuring out what the market is expecting the price of WTI and Brent to be in 5 years. I looked at futures contracts but those don't seem to have anything going out this far. I think its sort of important that I figure this out because I need to forecast oil prices and then select companies that will benefit most from my projected oil price, however, if I don't know what the market is pricing in for oil prices I have no way of looking at the difference between my projection and the markets projection. Any suggestions would be great! thanks :) [link] [comments] |
