Posted: 31 Mar 2018 12:58 PM PDT North American cellular providers are currently trading at a pretty good price relative to the market. However, with 5G coming somewhat soon, I can't say with certainty that say Verizon will still have its "image" in consumer's minds as the highest quality provider. But discount providers like Metro PCS and Cricket will likely be in the same position they are in a few years regardless of 5G. However, most of these are owned by one of the major cell companies. What are some ways to invest in this space? It seems to me that these contracts should be viewed in the same way as sub-prime auto loans: they may be held by consumers with bad credit, but they'll pay them before they pay other recurring bills. Books about proxy voting and board of directors? Posted: 31 Mar 2018 04:44 AM PDT Benjamin Graham was concerned about investors remaining too passive. There may be some catalysts that can help a company, but an unmotivated investor, or a small investor, will have little to do to make a change. I've seen a few books on Amazon about being on a board of directors, are there any recommendations for reading? Thanks [link] [comments] |
