If a stock’s value sits close to its 52 week low, would it be a wise decision to invest?

Example: ENB currently sits at 30.27...only 1.27 off of its 52 week low. Is now a good time to invest ?

Are 3X leveraged ETFs a viable medium to long term investment.

    Posted: 30 Apr 2018 07:01 AM PDT

I invest in mostly tech stocks and my portfolio has followed or beaten the indexes (DJI, NASDAQ and S&P). As i continue to learn and get deeper into the investment game I have learned about 3X ETFs (e.g. TQQQ).

If I like most of the stocks in TQQQ, why would I not invest my money there instead of the stocks themselves?

Are there any potential "gotchas" when investing in these ETFs?

What percentage of the S&P 500 is invested in index funds compared to active investments?

    Posted: 30 Apr 2018 07:28 PM PDT

There is a lot of speculation about what the rise of passive investing will do to the economy and the stock market. In theory, if everyone invested passively, then public companies would have less incentive to improve their businesses. This is far from reality as of 2018. As you can see in the chart below, Vanguard owns 7.9% of the S&P 500 market cap. Vanguard has 18% market share in the ETF business. Are You Making This Investing Mistake?

AAPL between 1992-2000 Yeah or Nah

Would it have been a good idea to invest in Apples stock in 1992? What other stocks would have been good investments at that time? What stocks would still be doing good now in 2018? I have a friend that is writing a story of someone who goes back in time to 92 (not sure why or any details) and she wants her character to use the knowledge she knows from the future to invest in the most profitable stocks in 92. Im only asking because she doesnt use reddit lol. And im genuinely curious now.
